It is not flannel. It is like a furry material. It is two layers. My bird has already ate threw the top layer.

It hasn't for my bird. I have had others that have. My bird won't go in it. She only sits on top

Great for parakeets

Put this up for my brand new pair of cases they landed on a couple of times but they’re still unsure of it which doesn’t surprise me. We’ve only had them since Thursday so they’ve only been here a few days but it’s really nice. It’s got the fuzzy stuff on top and it hangs down far enough that both of them could get in it with no problem at all.
