My one-year-old grandson loves this book.
We originally checked this book out from the library. My grandson loved it so much, we ordered one for his own. He likes to turn the board book pages as we read, and if the book has many words on the page, we don't have time to say them all before he turns pages. This book has few words, so we can get them all in and he always laughs when we read the last page.

Love Michael Dahl books
This is a great Dahl book. Taught my toddler how to say sorry and use the word in the right way. These books enhance language like crazy and my toddler loves them over and over because they are easy to understand and the illustrations are not overwhelming.

Cute but doesn't make a lot of sense?
If you add extra clarity then it's fine but the story is a little odd and muddled just like others said. I disregarded but now after purchasing i agree it's a little weird. I love these books so I'll ignore it but this one isn't my favorite

Not really teaching "sorry" all that much....
To me, this book doesn't really get the point across about "sorry" and my daughter isn't really a big fan of this one. We are teaching our 19 month old to say "sorry" and I was hoping this book would be a hit like the "Bear Says Thank You" one that we have from the same series. However, this doesn't really teach when to say sorry to a toddler without more explaining. Basically, the mouse gets mud everywhere and disrupts a bunch of people, each page is someone saying something like, "Watch out, Mouse!" or "Careful, Mouse!" and the mouse just saying, "Sorry!" in return. That's it. The end, he gets in trouble for being late, and his response is, "Sorry, I got here as fast as I could." That's it. Not much of a story if you ask me.... I don't really think that this book teaches sorry. The illustrations are cute, and hopefully me reading this to her and just saying "sorry" a bunch of times helps, but I don't think she really gets the point with this one.

So great I have bought 3 sets of the Hello Genius series
I have two granddaughters, ages 26.5 months and 25 months old. Originally, I bought two each of about five of the "Hello Genius" books for them. Including "Little Tiger Picks Up." As I pick up the younger of the two toddlers from daycare and watch her till her mom gets home from work, when it is time to pickup for dinner, I simply say "Tiger, time to pick up" and instantly my granddaughter starts helping me pick up. She also gave up her pacifier within a week of her mom reading "No More Pacifier Duck." And isn't as fussy about going to bed after "Go To Bed Goat." I am so impressed with the "Hello Genius" books, I have bought most of the series for both my granddaughters. AND! Just today I bought 15 additional books from the series to give to the day care where my granddaughter attends.

This teaches how to be a better citizen.
I ordered this book to help teach things that help students learn social skills to be better citizens. I was leary about ordering a board book as most board books are to small to use as a read aloud. These whimsical books are oversized durable books with pictures that capture the children's attention. The message of the book is something that can be incorporated into daily lessons and time at school. The books are sturdy enough to be sent home from your lending library for parent to read at night. These are perfect books for ages 2-8. Great gifts for baby showers, children's birthdays, Christmas, etc.

Will get your little one saying sorry and understanding why.
Our busy two year old is building vocabulary at a rate of knots but "sorry" was not in it so we went for this book. It has really worked for us as the simple story shows the mouse causing mishaps (such as knocking acorns over from the squirrel's store)and then saying sorry as he realises his mistake. The pattern is repeated through the book and set against bright, colourful backgrounds wih simple senarios. Our little one loves reading it and often picks it out for story time so the message is being reinforced daily. As a result we're hearing "sorry" in context. I am thinking of getting the "Excuse Me" one for Christmas.

Itโs cute.
My toddlerโs favourite book. But we are still working on saying sorry when he does something wrong. However, he also picks this book everyday to read. And while reading he says sorrryyyy. Illustrations are great. It has no story so I build story around those pictures while reading and he loves it.

Great book!
My 2 years old loves this book. She collected the other 3 series. The penguin, polar bear, and hippo. Great for teaching your kids manners. The graphics are pretty too.

I would recommend it for toddlers as it has easy building block words which can help the child with spelling , vocabulary and it helps extended their imagination too.๐๐๐
