They get the job done. I have used them consistently for a few months now, and they have been a lifesaver in the kitchen. They are what you'd expect from cooking chopsticks. Pretty thick, long, and easy to grasp. Not terribly thick, enough to still be usable. Cleaning them is also easy, just need to be careful not to allow any soap to penetrate the wood. Vinegar is your best bet when it comes to cleaning chopsticks off. That being said, there is one concern. One of my chopsticks ended up being severely deformed. I am unsure if it was a fault on my end or the manufacturer's end, but it looks like a very spindly, weak boomerang grouped up with the others. This is not a major concern as the other straight ones are usable, however I would not make it a habit to allow any deformed products to go through. I highly doubt I would have caused such a severe deformity. There is, of course, always the small possibility that I did, but my point still stands. This concern, however, is not enough to bring my rating down significantly. They're good enough for me.

I got these to try to make them the universal cooking utensil. Using them is as easy as using regular chopsticks. They're very nice and sturdy. HOWEVER, I am 5'2" and I made the mistake of getting the extra long thinking they would be better. The length puts my arms at weird angles to use them properly. Choking up on them works, but I do really wish I had bought a smaller set. If you're short, get a short set.

I have lots of sizes of chopsticks because many times in the kitchen you need something long and skinny to do something. I never use any of them as intended. I stir drinks with the small bamboo ones, and I find these super sturdy ones are great tools for mixing my jars of nut butters. They usually come with the oil at the top and have to be stirred, carefully, together and nothing was skinny enough and tough enough to do the job. These are strong enough, and skinny enough, and get the stuff mixed to the very bottom of the jar. I have used them to push lost items from behind places that are too thin to be gotten into any other way. They have proven to be the right thing in many an odd problem. They are very long and reach into places nothing else can reach. I sent some to my daughter and she's found them equally useful. I never use very much soap on any of my wooden things, just a quick rub under water, and dry.

I'm not bad with normal chopsticks. These are the deluxe edition and require a little practice to really be able to grab stuff with them. I was trying my hand at making General Tso's chicken, and while frying, I found myself wishing that I had something better than a fork for turning/retrieving my newly crisped nuggets. I remembered that chopsticks are also used in cooking, so I went and got my human-sized chopsticks and they made the rest of the boiling oil interaction much easier. I thought to myself, "these are perfect for frying" and went to Amazon to see if they had cooking chopsticks. $7 for 2 sets? Good enough for me. I've used them a couple times since arrival and they are perfect for stirring, flipping stuff while frying with oil, or if cooking with boiling water in a pot. The length keeps you from getting attacked by boiling splash droplets. They are straight and look exactly like the product photo. Still improving my grip but I am happy that I have these. Also great if I want to grab a piece of food from my wife's plate.

I am using these chopsticks for putting small(er) pieces of food for frying into the pan. They are a good alternative to tongs which sometimes can’t pick up smaller pieces of food. The length of these chopsticks ensure that you don’t scald yourself with hot oil. They are also good as serving chopsticks eg in a hotpot.
