This is a great kit for the price. It does take a bit of elbow grease but works well. I cleaned up the frets on a 60s classical guitar that were quite tarnished. Photos show polished vs unpolished frets. I only wish they would include two fretboard cover templates. The one in the kit started to disintegrate by the time I finished.

Arrives in a small D'addario paper/cardboard and plastic pouch container. Several 3"x3" squares you simply cut to smaller squares with scissors. Using the provided paper/cardboard die cut slots cover your fretboard leaving the single fret exposed for polishing and have at it. Used it on my COVID purchased Squier FSR Bullet Tele which out of the box had terrible fretwork (all 21 frets) but was later polished properly by a luthier. After much playing, the frets definitely needed some attention and after only a few seconds of polishing each one, they were back to a glass like smooth finish. No messy polish to deal with and simply wipe your frets with a clean cloth to make them all look like and feel amazing! I'd recommend doing this as your putting on fresh strings, you'll be surprised how well your new strings play and feel! You get enough polish cloth to do at least 6-8 guitars minimum so it's less than a dollar per guitar.

Excellent for when you only have superficial grime. You would want to get the Stewmac system that comes with the fret protectors and also the course sanding blocks. But I use these cloths at the very end to give it a really nice shine.

Not bad works great

These are okay. If you have a guitar that's been sitting around unplayed for years and the frets are tarnished...by all means. They're a macro level tool. But these aren't what you want to use to really dial in a guitar that's already 95% where you want it to be. These clothes aren't really coarse enough to do heavy lifting, nor are they fine enough to bring frets up to a like-new, or 'straight from a high level repair shop' level of luster. I've now used these on three guitars and I probably won't buy them again; I will however buy a set of polishing cloths of varying coarseness. For reference, I'm a full time touring guitar player with 30+ guitars/electric basses and 25 years of playing experience. I've also worked as a tech. I know my level of expectation for a product like this is probably much higher than the average individual.

Work better than I anticipated

サブのギターがほったらかしになっていたので在宅ワークの合間にメンテナンス。 ちなみにIBANEZ j-custom数本所有。 30年ギターを弾いているが、こういうのはリペアショップに任せてしまっていたので、 それでよかったが、近年リペアも高くなってきたので、工数減らすために自分でやってみようと。 （メインは相変わらずリペアに出しているが） 音質を考えるとマジのすり合わせに関してはプロに任せたほうが確実。 いやーもっと早く自分でやっていればよかった。 くすみがきれいに落ちて購入時の輝きが…って通販番組みたいだがとにかくきれいになる。 フレットの手触りもよくなって、プレイアビリティも向上。 やっぱり楽器はメンテナンスが大事。 5シートあって最初は「あまりはどうすれば…」とか考えていたが、一本磨いた段階ですべて消費していた。 ちなみに指板ダメージを出さないために紙ケースを切り抜いて使うのだが、１本磨き上げるとヨレヨレ。 ま、かなりの汚れだったので、そんなもんかと思ったが 一度やっておけば次回からはもう少し少ない使用量になるかと。 次は５弦ベースにもチャレンジしよう。

This and lemon oil will bring your guitars neck new life. If you have a budget guitar, or old guitar that needs some love; absolutely buy this - it will play 100x better. The package has a built in “fret polishing template” you cut off that works fine, so if youre only doing one or two guitars itll be a fine substitute for an actual one. Just be careful not to go crazy polishing and try and use your fingernail to get the sides of the fret polished as well.

Giving a new to me 2nd hand guitar a bit of TLC - after taking the strings off to give full access i used these to give the frets a buff. They are 'sided' so one side has the texture and the other side is smooth. The packaging also doubles as a fretboard cover so you don't mark the wood. It was so easy I then loosened off the strings on another guitar and gave those frets a polish too - I hadn't realised they needed it but these cleaned them up and made them shine. Great value for money - I really like d'addario products, the guitar detailing polish is excellent for getting your paint back to super shiny.

Cumple con el objetivo. Los trastes quedaron perfectamente pulidos y solo llegué a usar una hoja y media de las que vienen. Fácil de usar. Mejor usarlos con unos protectores de trastes de metal.

Utilisée pour polir les frettes d'une Squier neuve un peu rugueuses : confort de jeu immédiatement amélioré ! Pas cher, rapide et très efficace !!!! La pochette sert de protection pour le bois du manche, ce qui est astucieux. Essayé aussi avec succès pour polir des extrémités de frettes un peu accrocheuses.
