It works really well. You can actually see the litter collecting at the front of the litter box entrance instead of spreading dust everywhere like before. Cleaning it can be a bit annoying, especially if your cat has an accident on it (happened once, and paper towels did not survive the cleanup thanks to the mat’s texture). To clean I typically vacuum weekly or more and shake it out every month. What you might want to know before buying, especially if you're a first-time cat owner: 1. Litter type matters: The amount of tracking depends heavily on the litter brand and type. If you’re using wood pellets (though some debate their safety for cats, do your research and talk to a vet!), tracking and dust will be minimal, and this mat would likely catch 100% of what’s left. For finer, more granular litter (which I use), I’d estimate this mat catches 75–90% of what gets tracked out. That’s a win in my book - the less litter I find scattered around, the better. 2. Consider your litter box, your space, and your cat’s behavior: This mat worked great when I had a smaller space. Now that I’m in a larger laundry room, I’m thinking of upgrading to a bigger mat. Cats have weird personalities and big opinions at times, and not all love the texture of litter mats. Some will run, leap over it, or try to avoid it altogether. Thankfully, my cat tolerates it, but in the bigger space, she’s stepping off the mat sooner - which means more litter ends up on the floor. If you’ve got a particularly messy cat, a top-entry litter box might help reduce tracking. I’ve seen this work well for friends. Just make sure the mat is big enough and well-positioned so your cat has to step on it when exiting. Review: Worth it! - This thing works! It's much bigger than I was thinking, but that's alright! Thick material and has good weight to it. Definitely not a cheap litter mat! Doesn't slide around and keeps the cat box area much cleaner and free of random litter pieces! Super easy to clean up and keeps my hardwood floors protected and much cleaner than before I had this! ## Features - THE ORIGINAL LITTER TRAPPER: the cat mat is constructed from durable long lasting materials; topside features thick mesh coils that effectively grab litter; deep grooves on the topside also collect litter, keeping it contained to the mat and off of your floors - TEXTURED BACKING HELPS IT STAY IN PLACE: while other mats may shift around as your cat exits their litter box, resulting in litter all over your floors, our mat is designed with a textured backing that helps it to stay in place, even with active cats - WATER RESISTANT: constructed from durable water resistant materials, the cat mat is designed to not allow liquids to pass through, helping to keep liquid messes off your floors; mat also protect floors from scratching - RECYCLE MORE LITTER AND EASY CLEAN: waste less litter; tip and pour collected litter back into the box to save money; excess litter can also be vacuumed or shaken out of mat; for a deep clean use mild soap and water, always air dry - INCREDIBLY SOFT ON PAWS, CLIMATE PARTNER CERTIFIED: durable mat is gentle and soft on sensitive paws, because your furry friend deserves the best; even makes a great spot for an afternoon cat nap; designed with sustainability in mind; certified to support initiatives that help address climate impact; carbon footprint measured; mat measures 23 inches x 35 inches ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 51,678 Reviews | ## Product Details - **Brand:** GORILLA GRIP - **Color:** Beige - **Item Form:** Bag - **Item Weight:** 2.2 pounds - **Material:** Plastic - **Material Feature:** Collapsable, Disposable, Fragrance Free, Heavy Duty, Scent Free - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Animal Waste - **Scent:** Unscented - **Unit Count:** 1 Count ## Images ![GORILLA GRIP Cat Litter Mat, Coiled Mesh Trapping Mats, 35x23 Beige - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8151lOorGCL.jpg) ![GORILLA GRIP Cat Litter Mat, Coiled Mesh Trapping Mats, 35x23 Beige - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71gPS0Lc--L.jpg) ![GORILLA GRIP Cat Litter Mat, Coiled Mesh Trapping Mats, 35x23 Beige - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Uv5J7NrZL.jpg) ![GORILLA GRIP Cat Litter Mat, Coiled Mesh Trapping Mats, 35x23 Beige - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/716gUMTC4yL.jpg) ![GORILLA GRIP Cat Litter Mat, Coiled Mesh Trapping Mats, 35x23 Beige - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71dA4G5PtgL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How effectively does this cat litter mat catch litter?** A: Constructed with thick mesh coils and deep grooves, our cat litter mat can easily and quickly trap extra kitty litter as your cat leaves the litter box. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cats Might Destroy It *by M***N on August 7, 2026* Traps litter well. Easy on paws. Decent size. Be warned though if your cats love chewing on things, they will absolutely annihilate this product. Had mine for 2 weeks and I have to throw it out because they're destructive little rascals. Otherwise decent product. ## Frequently Bought Together - GORILLA GRIP Cat Litter Box Mat, 35x23, Water Resistant Kitty Litter Trapping Mat, Textured Backing, Easy to Clean, Less Waste and Clean Floors, Kitten Supplies for Indoor Cats, Soft on Paws, Beige - Dr. Elsey's Ultra UnScented Clumping Clay Cat Litter 40 lb.
