I had purchased the "Rehand" cane and was not happy with it. I am not a heavy person but I just didn't feel comfortable or secure with it - the handle hurt my hand after a while and the bottom of the cane slipped out from under me once. So I researched canes again, found and ordered the StrongArm and just love it. (I also asked my physiotherapist and he said he had patients who really liked this cane too). Literally - within a few minutes I was walking confidently - it felt so sturdy, not at all heavy and with a great, stable "foot" . The curved arm is genius: it takes the weight off your wrist and palm of your hand. (I have narrow wrists). The hand grip is softer and more spongey than other canes. Plus it's great that it will stand up on its own. (It can be knocked over so make sure you place it in a safe spot). Yes, it's expensive. So I spent a bit of money considering I bought two canes. But I figured I had one chance to follow proper precautions for my hip rehabilitation and do it right without reinjury. This surgery should last the rest of my life so considering that, it's a very reasonable expense!
