I could not find any 1" being sold... Should the rope seal be the same width or smaller width?** A: You want to fit the gap. If the backer rod was too small I put in two rods of different sizes to fill the gap. Took some work to make it fit ok and look ok but once I put in the self leveling chalking it looked good. If there is a gap around the rods the chalk will seep down between. Not good. Could use a different chalk type but I liked the look of the self leveling after it dried. **Q: Where is this product manufactured?** A: Made in USA. **Q: Will this work between the tub and tile in the bathroom?** A: Hello. Sika Backer Rod can be used in this application if the sealant installation to follow calls for a closed-cell backer rod.
