American made and works like a charm

We are on a well, so not the best quality water, but this level control lasts about 9 months and we then have to replace it. But small, and works well until fouled by our water.

I got tired of normal plastic float valves needing to be replaced every 6 months, so I decided to give this a try. 2 1/2 years later, it's still working great. Honestly, based on my experience, I don't know how anyone would give this product a negative review -- it's worked that well for me.

Leaks. Even when submerged, continues to trickle water. While trying to diagnose the problem, found some literature from manufacturer stating that it may not seal if water is supplied at lower flow rates. However, even when I opened the preceding needle valve fully, some leakage persisted. Frustratingly, this renders is useless for my application and I've just missed the return window due to the fact that I couldn't detect this issue until a flow meter arrived, and that got delayed and then I had an international trip. Note that the design of this float valve makes it hard to visually inspect when and how much water is flowing. EDIT: I contacted amazon and was granted an exception to the 30 day return policy, so I was able to return it. So credit to amazon/the seller for that

I'm currently using this in 3 patio fountains 2 of them are of decent size with 48"+ diameter basins. These units have been fantastic. I used a little ingenuity to create a small pvc stand and mounted the valve to the stand then slid it inside the chamber with my pump and now they are hidden from sight. I'll report back in a few years hopefully everything is still working well then! Advice: Be sure to use teflon tape to prevent leaking Be sure that the valve is tight together otherwise it will not function

Fountain autofill woes resolved. Couldn't be happier!

Used this to install a self-filling water line on a friends water feature. Works as intended. FYI - the height of the water at shutoff is NOT adjustable. Almost all of this valve body sits above the water, less than one half inch is below the waterline so you end up with a large gray plastic cylinder exposed. Luckily I was able to re-route the line to the opposite side so it was less visible. For people using this to water their horses etc who like to fiddle and break anything near their water tub, this likely wont last long there.

Valve worked great for a while then needed a repair kit. I have not been able to find one. Consequently, I had to buy a whole new valve.
