Does it come with cloning software? pny ssd comes with one. so i want to make sure if it does?

The Kingston A400 series SSD does not include drive cloning software or SATA cables. It is intended for users who refer to use their existing cloning tools and hardware with the SSD. If you do require cloning software, you may want to look into a Windows PC based application titled "Reflect" by Macrium, or Carbon Copy for Mac computers. Either application is available free to download from the internet. Thank you!

i have a toshiba satellite with serial ata-150 interface.  will SATA-3 interface drives work?

Hello Dave, SATA 3.0 (6Gb/s) A400 series SSD by design is compatible with legacy SATA interface.  SA400S37/120G will work fine in the older Toshiba Satellite, although not performing up to the advertised SSD speeds due to host system limitations, nonetheless A400 will outperform original hard disk drive to help enhance the system overall performance.  A400 should physically fit the notebook internal drive bay using existing mounting hardware.  PC will automatically detect the new SSD upon power up.  Fresh install operation system and applications from original installation CD on the SSD as you would on standard disk drives.  Thank you!-Kai @ Kingston TS

Hello Ae, Toshiba released multiple generations Satellite 2-in-1 laptop that supported different internal data storage devices and upgrade possibility.  Please provide exact Satellite model number or laptop manufacturer part number found on system underside to help determine system hardware configuration and recommended upgrades.  Kingston A400 series SSD shipped with drive only without data migration software.  End user or professional computer technician is responsible to obtain suitable software to transfer data. Will this work with a mid-2009 macbook?

Apple has released multiple models MacBook mid-2009 computers that based on legacy Serial-ATA (SATA) data storage interface by today's standards.  Kingston SATA-3 standard A400 SSD is backward compatible with older technology and works well in the older MacBook.  Keep in mind that computer would not take full advantage of the A400 higher performance due to system hardware limitation.  It may be possible to look up SSD installation reference online if you provide exact MacBook model number or manufacturer part number.  Thank you.
