Ours is elongated and there is a gap between the seat and the regular seat causing a bit of movement. Our little guy seemed a little uneasy sitting on it, but this was a first try. Hoping he becomes more comfortable. Had trouble figuring out how to attach the deflector until I discovered diagrams on the clear packaging the deflector was in. Also , later I found a video in the description that shows how to put on.
