Does this work for the first Vive?

Hi I got this for my husband and he says it does but it come ready for the pro but you can change it to work the original Vive and it come with all kinds of cables.

Does this come with the PCI-e card & shorter cables for the headset?

Yes, it comes with the card and cables needed.

Will this work for the original htc vive gen 1?

Absolutely! Just tested the Gen1 with mine. Gen1 plugs into the front, newer plug into the back. I used the Gen1 cables, so you may want to pick up supported HDMI cable if you don't want ot tie a 6ft. cable around yourself. Other than that, picks up and tracks fine.

Will it work on the htc vive pro 2?

Yes, I run this with my Vive Pro 2. You lose 120Hz, stepping down to 90Hz. You also lose some resolution at the same time; It locks out the 4896x2448 resolution setting. You can supersample regardless.
