Ticonderoga Wood-Cased Pencils, #4 2H Extra Hard, Yellow, 12 Count

They are just what they say they are, in their description. Arrived on time, and write very nicely, with a very sharp point, which is what I wanted.

Exactly what I wanted. #4 extra-hard pencils. As advertised.

I bought these pencils for art. They work excellently. they Aren't as hard as the typical #2 meaning they are perfect for drawing preliminary sketches and guidelines. They aren't as dark as the #2 so they easier to erase but still dark enough were they lay down a solid visable line. They also hold a point longer and have a longer lifespan than a #2. I use them for art but they work great for writing as well. I prefer them over the #2 for most tasks(I still use the #2 for shading and when I want to darken the lines). Prior to buying these pencils ive been using derwent pencils the derwents were excellent but they were 1.80 for a single pencil at Michaels. These were about $2.30 for a box of twelve pencils and they are almost the same quality as the derwents. Plus they have erasers at the end that are perfect for erasing fine detail. I recomend these for pencil artists on a budget.

I'm left-handed and tend to be a bit heavy-handed in my writing. I was looking for a pencil that would not smudge. This is a good hard leaded pencil that sharpens to a very nice point and holds a point for a good while. It smudges very little and that's good. However, it leaves a very light gray letter on the page and could be hard to read for some. Ultimately, it's not the pencil for me as I like a darker letter on the page. It could be good for drawing though where you want a lighter line to go over in pen.

Work in construction and have been using #4 pencils for years. They are becoming harder to find! Keep carrying them!

Love #4 pencils. They are so difficult to find in stores. These sharpened so well, and hold the sharpness much longer. As a leftie, I especially like them because they don't smudge.

Concordo in pieno con la recensione di un altro utente che queste matite sono le uniche con gradazione 2H ad avere il gommino, per me fondamentale. Anche io preferisco una matita con una mina dura e un tratto "chiaro", quindi quando ho visto che la Ticonderoga le produceva, le ho acquistate immediatamente. Si temperano bene, anche usando un normale temperino, sebbene da anni usi un temperamatite elettrico acquistato sempre qui su Amazon (straconsigliato). Infine mi trovo benissimo con il rivenditore Supermart USA: spese di spedizione gratuite e pur arrivando dagli USA il pacchetto (sempre integro), non impiega poi tanto.

I like a 2h hard lead for marking in the shop. These are quality made.

Che dire delle Ticonderoga? Bellissime, eleganti e soprattutto ben fatte. Le Ticonderoga sono, attualmente, le uniche matite con gommino prodotte nelle gradazioni da 1 (ovvero B) fino a 4 (ovvero 2H). Un must per chi, come me, ama le matite con mina dura anche per prendere appunti o lavorare. Si temperano bene, la mina non si spezza mai. Ovviamente vengono spedite dagli USA, mettete in conto 3/4 settimane per la consegna

Ces crayons sont parfaits pour mes enfants, car ils ont tendance à peser trop fort sur leur crayon ce qui fait que la mine brise facilement, mais avec ceux ci il n’y a pas de problème, la mine est résistante.

I have been looking for this hardness of pencil while still having blackness to it so it actually makes a mark. Perfect!
