Please read the item page before you buy this item. It is very important! This item without any light source, the side glow fiber optic cable only transmit light，CANNOT light up by itself. The color is depends on the light source you use. The picture is showing the cable when it connecting with light source.

What kind of plastic is the core material made from? polymer? the material is not pmma. what happens with uv exposure? do you have a msds sheet?

Skin material: Teflon. Core material: PMMA polymer. Block most of the UV rays and IR energy from the light source you use. The package not comes with MSDS sheet.
