Easy to use and cleaner
This is one of 5 tortilla presses I have purchased. I use them to press pie shells for fried hand pies. This one gets my highest rating so far for the following reasons: 1: It does not leave black markings on my gloves, dough, or the parchment paper I use for pressing. This has been a problem with the cast iron ones that I have purchased. 2: The roller where the handle meets the press lid makes pressing easier. Some of the cast iron presses without this feature actually begin to create metal shavings in this area, which is not something you want happening around your food. My only complaint with this part is that if you are not careful to perfectly align it before begin to press, the wheel can chip the handle. 3: It is lightweight, which is nice when you need to put it in and out of storage. 4: It is easy to clean. So far, I am pretty content with this press. It has done 5 dozen pies for me and works quite well. I don't make tortillas, so I can't comment on its effectiveness for that, but pie crusts is tougher to press than corn tortillas, so I'm sure it works just fine for that.

Best press I’ve used
I can make tortillas with greater diameters (whatever diameter desired) at whatever thickness I want. They are even thickness with super consistency. This is the only press I’ve used where variability of how hard you press, where you placed the dough, how quickly you close the press is taken out of the equation.

Works great!
This works great and, as a bonus, pressing chicken and pork makes for super easy cutlets!

Great Once Broken Bearing Replaced with Washers
OK in my original review I only gave this two stars because the bearing broke right away. While the seller did not solve the problem, they did reach out, and I was able to solve the problem myself by replacing the bearing with five washers (see photo): https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R26S9W7/ Not a perfect fit, not sure if they roll or just allow the handle to slide, but they hold up way better than the original bearing. The final piece of this puzzle for me was to order two eight inch silicon mats: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08V58RX65/ The fixed bearing and the mats have turned this adjustable tortilla press into cracker factory! Before the mats the crackers were a little thick with the smallest spacers. The mats produce perfect thin crackers, and are way easier to roll crackers off of than parchment paper, plus they are reusable and the perfect size. So still docking one star for the bearing, but this thing is doing exactly what I want it to.

Adjustable thickness is supid
Look, if it didn't work, I wouldn't be giving it 3 stars. But it does. It just has some features that don't need to exist, don't add anything, and make it harder to use. First off, the adjustable thickness. In order to use this function, you need a wrench larger then any I own and it doesn't come with it. I was able to get the nut off just by finger loosening it, but it was a struggle. Then there is the spacers. It comes with a pack of spacers for various thicknesses, but now you have a bag of spacers for it you have to keep track of. All of that is pointless anyway because you don't need to add space for your tortillas. Or naan bread, or pita bread. You are literally trying to get those things as thin as possible and it doesn't have any spacers less then 1/8 inch thick. So I just took them off. Then there is the wiggle. The top plate wiggles around and can't be tightened down without, you guessed it, a wrench larger then any I own. So now I have to go out and buy a giant wrench for this thing? Why didn't it just come with one? Anyway, it's made of cast iron which is strong, it does make tortillas, if they adjusted their stupid design or included the tools to make it work this would be a great product.

Extraordinarily Disappointed: Harmful to itself and others.
My kingdom for a -5 rating option. To begin its first use, the bearing broke while pressing the FIRST tortilla. Loud pop. Dog jumped and ran out the doggy door, ball bearings scattered across the countertop... yet even then I figured I'd clean it up and give it a chance; don't *really* need it (and at that point understood why they supplied an extra bearing in the packaging). I nevertheless put the first tortilla on my skillet... I notice some green flakes in the dough when flipped... I slowly put green flakes and the 8 Inch Tortilla Maker Green together... I go back to the press, and sure enough: the green coating is, at best, apparently, low-quality spray paint that the two screws intended for the height adjustment immediately destroyed, flaked, and sneakily distributed in the dough while I was living my life not thinking any such thing would ever happen with a brand new product. That's the "harmful to itself" part: It cannot fulfill it's sole purpose of existence without breaking... in multiple ways. (while also getting paint, lubrication oil, tiny ball bearings into your dough. Not ideal in a product characteristic) It goes into the trash and I sad-faced began to clean, during which I notice that the green paint actually melted into my favorite cast iron skillet... which of course, will never come off... so I'm left debating throwing that away as well. Harmful to others. Do. Not. Buy. This. Product. It's so bad it breaks so you can't even return the thing.

Variable thicknesses.
Using parchment paper I have made pasties with bread dough. Just putting a ball of dough on it. So much easier than rolling out bread dough. I've also used it to make cauliflower buns and pizza dough . Making my own flavored tortillas is so much fun! Takes almost no pressure on handle to flatten dough. Some people put it down saying it wobbles. Well just make sure you close evenly before you press the handle. This is a no Brainer. It's a press, not a machine. Easy to change thickness rings. No tools needed, hand tightening does the trick. I love it!

This is a great product. Just the way it is designed, it presses the dough ball very evenly side to side. Also, it is made from Aluminum, which makes it very light weight. Overall, a great buy

It swivelled when I closed it and it wasn’t what I expected. I did return the product and received a full refund. Thank you
