Not that I dislike AirPods, but wired ear buds are more affordable, more reliable, work just as well (and sometimes better), and never need charging. This adapter lets me to travel light and skip my ipad on a short trip. I can watch a movie on my iPhone with my wired earbuds and keep my phone charged and ready-to-use. It an occasional use item for me, so I haven't had any problems with it not working. I read more regular uses have had it stop working after a while, but so far, no problems for me.

During first use I plugged the this Lighting to 3.5mm adapter into my iPhone to connect to my car stereo and charge at the same time. The tiny adapter fit snugly and required no fiddling, which I appreciated while parked curbside. Audio played through the car speakers with clear mids and surprisingly solid bass, no noticeable hiss. While navigating the adapter also kept the phone charging, so battery never dipped during longer drives. I tried two different headphones with the dual jack and both worked fine, so my passenger could listen without stealing my charger. Calls came through clearly and i could recieve and answer without pulling the phone from the mount. One flaw is the adapter warms up a little after continuous use, nothing alarming but worth noting. The molded ends and solid connectors feel like they will survive being tossed into a glove box. No app or setup was needed

The loss of a headphone jack on modern Apple devices can be a bummer, and this accessory does an awesome job of allowing multiple connections while still permitting charging. It works great with both my wife's iPhone and my daughter's iPad. I got this for use on car rides so both of my kids can share watching the same video, and it's so small and convenient, we love it! According to the package, you can't use it for calls, so just be aware that it may not support a headset/headphones with a microphone as well. I don't have any need for that, so I'm still very happy leaving this as a 5-star for quality and value!

I needed a dongle for my Iphone to be able to DJ with just my phone with my mixer board, but also to be able to charge it while djing. This works Perfectly THANK YOU!! :D

This worked one time on a roadtrip. Tried it again on a second road trip and it no longer works. Very disappointing.

For a cheap product it’s okay while you wait to get a better one but mine only lasted a few months and in that time I would have to move the tip because it would only connect to one speaker. Then just stopped all together.

We bought this so our kids could both watch a movie on the iPad while traveling, using wired headphones we already had. Works great if you want to charge while using old style headphones, or use 2 audio jack style headphones. You can't mix headphones connection types ie use a lightning connector headphones and an audio jack headphones at the same time.

I purchased this splitter so my kids could both use the same media at the same time and it is terrible. You can barely hear anything when using it no matter how loud the volume is. I tried cleaning it and wiggling it in place but nothing worked. Not worth the money at all.

Never worked as advertised. Can get power or sound but not both.
