LEATHER VILLAGE Leather Bound Journal-7"X5"-Rustic Brown

I’ve been collecting recipes for home remedies and beauty treatments (like face masks and scrubs) and things for years but in a really random way, so I keep losing track of them. When I finally decided that I wanted to get a notebook to write them all in so I could have them in one place, I immediately thought of this style of journal. It just seemed perfect, since it looks like a classic old journal, and a lot of these recipes have been around that long. I picked this one because it had good reviews and it was exactly what I was looking for. I got it in the brown and it looks just like the photos. It’s definitely real leather and even has that good leather smell. I also really like the binding detail on the spine and the thong that wraps around it. The pages really do look aged too, so don’t expect them to lie completely flat right away. I’m writing in it with a good black pen and haven’t had any feathering or bleed-through. And it has a lot of pages, so I’ll probably never even fill it up! Just bear in mind when you’re ordering that it is a small journal, so if you’re looking for something with bigger pages and don’t check the dimensions in the description then you’ll be disappointed. But if this is the size you’re looking for, like I was, then this is a great journal.

I like that there’s room to insert some memorabilia. Unfortunately it has not slot for a pen. Though it’s fabulous, it may be too thick for travel

This leather journal looks like something out of the middle ages. The paper is great quality. The price is very reasonable. The color is exactly what I anticipated. This works great for Journaling.

This journal is better than expected. Its overall antique look flows well throughout the journal. The leather cover is thick, the paper look, thickness, and binding is spot on. My only negative is that the leather strap has nothing to attach so that the journal is secure hence the 4 star.

I absolutely love the look and feel of this journal. The leather has a beautiful rustic appearance that makes it feel like something with a story behind it. It is soft in the hand, the wrap closure keeps everything secure, and the stitching gives it a nice handcrafted touch. The pages have a pleasant vintage look and are thick enough for everyday writing with my gel pens without excessive show through. It lays fairly flat after a little use, which makes journaling much more comfortable. I bought this because I wanted a journal that felt special instead of just another notebook, and this one definitely delivers. It would be perfect for journaling, gratitude lists, travel memories, sketching, or even as a meaningful gift for someone who loves old world style. I am very happy with this purchase and would gladly buy it again. I actually plan on giving one to my daughter for her 16th birthday next week.

This is exactly as described. It has an excellent antique look and feel. The paper is good quality and the block can easily be swapped out once used. I feel I should mention how incredibly pungent the leather is.
