We love our gate opener. It is so nice to not have to run electric to a gate. Once we got all the pin settings correct it works great! Thank you for your help in this matter. The description of how the pin settings was very easy to follow. My suggestion would be to include these pin setting in the directions. The remote opener works from a good distance away. Have been telling friends about the opener. Thank you. Thank you for the offer of a remote as a gift. We would be happy to receive the TC173 remote for the car visor.

I’m very happy with the TOPENS DKR500ST Solar Sliding Gate Opener overall. It’s quiet, powerful, and the solar feature makes it super convenient — no need to worry about wiring or power outages. The system feels sturdy, and the remotes work smoothly from a good distance. Installation wasn’t easy though — I ended up hiring a professional to get it done. Even then, we ran into a few setup issues along the way. Fortunately, the TOPENS support team was amazing — very responsive, patient, and helpful in walking us through the problems until everything worked perfectly. Once installed properly, the gate runs smoothly and reliably. I really appreciate both the product and the excellent customer service behind it.

Giving this product 4 stars, as the solar panel controller failed causing the batteries to fail. However, customer support was excellent. Troubleshooting was spot on and communication was great. The company replaced the controller free of charge and the system is working great since installing the new controller.

it tiny plastic unit with no steel base like it showed or batteries included , it is fat from plug and play ..also the track is less than 20 feet so You cannot use on 40' gate unless you purchase extra .. make sure your gate is very rigid and straight also .

After 2 years of dealing with a conventional bicycle chain door opener that would break every 4 months because we live at the beach, I decided to try the Topens solar, battery, plug in opener. I am so impressed. I installed it myself using the provided instructions and the available installation video in about 3 hours. The rail will not rust because it is sealed with very durable plastic. This is truly an amazing gate opener. I highly recommend it. UPDATE: After 1 year the gate has worked perfect with never a malfunction. Highly recommended!

The Topens solar gate motor is an excellent product with good build quality and very responsive customer services. The installation was very straight forward for any DIYer who has a basic to mid understanding of engineering. The instruction manual was a bit vague in some areas but the online video made up for those short comings. As you can see from my photos and video we modified the installation and had the solar panel mounted on the roof which really took no extreme effort, just extended the wiring with the recommended gauge wire. The motor I am using is running only on solar power with batteries and its great. Being in the Caribbean with sun in great abundance its a good choice. It's quite, powerful and easy to program. Again great product
