One of the best earplugs on the market
I sleep with earplugs every night because my husband’s snoring is extremely loud, and after trying many different brands over the years, Mack’s is the only one I keep buying. Cheaper earplugs I’ve used tend to become hard, uncomfortable, and can even make my ears hurt. These stay soft and comfortable through the night. This pink version seems to be aimed more at women, and while I am a woman, I do not think there is a huge difference between these and Mack’s Ultra tan earplugs. That said, the pink ones do feel softer and a little easier to wear. To use them, you roll the earplug between your fingers, place it in your ear, and let it expand inside the ear canal. The pink ones compress and expand more easily for me, and they feel gentler in my ears compared to the tan ones. The tan earplugs may block slightly more sound, but even sleeping beside an incredibly loud snorer, the difference is not big enough for me to choose comfort over them. I actually like that the pink ones reduce the snoring to more of a background sound without blocking everything completely. That could be helpful for parents who still need to hear a child at night. In my case, I can sleep through my husband’s snoring, but my dog can still wake me if she needs to go outside. Another small bonus is that the pink color hides earwax much better than the tan ones.

Ear plugs
Work great for sleep. For small ears and comfortable throughout the night. Block most sounds but not completely noise blocking. Great if you are trying to drown out small noises.

These are small. Really small. Too small?
These are small. I bought the Flents Quiet Contour first. Those worked well, but they were way too big for my ears and would fall out of my ears. I could not roll them small enough to fit into my ear canal to form a proper seal. The quality was there, and they were really soft. I really wish that Flents would consider making the exact ear plug in a smaller size. Those had 33 decibel noise reduction. In comparison, The Mack Dream Girls are about 2/3rds the length of the Flents Quiet Contour, and about 1/2th the width of the Quiet Contour. In other words, they are significantly smaller than the Quiet Contour. I was not prepared for how small they would be. I rolled them, flattened them, and stretched them a little, and inserted them. The fit was just okay. They never expanded to form a good seal. Even though the fit was better than the Quiet Contour. Perhaps, I needed to roll them more and insert them further into my ear canal, but I was afraid to do that because they were so short. I was afraid that it would get lost in ear canal. Also, these are not as soft as the Flents. The maximum noise reduction on the Dream Girls, if properly inserted was 30 decibel. Overall, I do think that these would work better if there were slightly more length and girth to them. I will definitely use them, but I ordered Mack Slim Fit to compare to see if I like those better.

Good for small ears but beware the pointed end
I needed some earplugs to wear to bed. I had been using the green ones in the single pair packs from the PPE cabinet at work but haven't been able to access those due to Covid. I have small ears and am a side sleeper, so anything sticking out over the ear canal can often wake me up. These are narrow but they do have a point. I have found that the point makes them almost too long when inside of the ear, and that if I am not careful the point will hit my ear drum and will definitely cause pain that will wake me up. I also wonder if I sleep on my side if somehow the weight of my head on the pillow also pushes them in further over night? I think that personally they should have a flange on the end so that they can't be fully inserted into the ear and contact the ear drum. Because they're so narrow they're easier to insert than standard size ear plugs and they also do not feel as full (if you have small ears you know what I mean). They're a good option and worth a shot if you think regular size earplugs are uncomfortable. I also like the packaging which keeps all of the ear plugs in a convenient and clean spot.

Comfortable earplugs for sleep
These are pretty good ear plugs, they are a lot more comfortable to wear to sleep than other ear plugs I have used. They cancel out a lot of noises but you can definitely hear louder noises still, which is because they are not as dense and hard as other ear plugs but if they were they would hurt more when sleeping with them in. What is good about them not canceling out some of the sound is that I can still hear my alarm clock going off, and I can hear my dog bark at me when she has to go outside in the morning. So not total sound cancelation but helps to aid with sleep if you're a light sleeper. But, the bad thing about them not canceling out as much sound as the dense hard ear pugs is that I can definitely still hear my noisy roommates yelling to each other in the morning and they still wake me up, so they only help somewhat with that. Another con with these earplugs is that they get worn out somewhat fast with repeated use every night and when they are worn out they don't compress as small anymore and after a while don't stay in the ear. The new ones work fine so you have to get a new pair when they get worn out, since it comes with so many in the jar it's not really a problem. For the price and how many you get, and how comfortable they are to wear compared to other ear plugs I have used it is a good deal and I would buy them again.

Almost perfect!
I am very sensitive to sound, and I just started dorming and my roommate is incredibly loud and makes this awful noise with her mouth when we are trying to sleep. I have no idea what the hell she is doing, but it ain't snoring. It sounds like she is eating food without closing her mouth, which she does anyways but that's been driving me up the wall. These have saved my roommate from being strangled by me. I was shocked at how much noise they really keep out! I sleep with a fan basically right next to my head on my nightstand and I cannot hear it at all. I can hear doors open and close slightly, but I cannot hear my roommate anymore. Of course I do have trouble putting them in my ear sometimes, but I just have to get the hang of it. My ears are also very small and these fit me really nicely. In the morning I do wake up with my ears just a little sore from the ear plugs, but I can live with that. I can sleep really easily with them in and I can lay on either side and they don't bother me! Small tip is to really squish the tip of the earplug, I mean really squish it till it looks like a mini sword and put it in your ear. That's how it will stay in your ear the entire night and block out as much sound as they can.

Pink, purple, or tan?
I have now tried 3 types of Mack's earplugs: tan regular, purple slim-fit, and pink dreamgirl. Hopefully this information will help others who are trying to find the right ones: Tan: As shown in the picture below, these are slightly longer and wider than the purple/pink earplugs. Definitely have the absolute best noise reduction, and would work well if you are sleeping with a snorer. However, they are quite painful to wear all night long if your ears are relatively small (like mine). My husband loves these, and they fit him perfectly. Purple: Slightly shorter & narrower than the tan earplugs. They are easier for me to fit in my ear, but they let in slightly more sound. Everything is muffled (think very soft background noise), but not blocked like the tan earplugs. They would probably not completely block a snorer near you, but they would reduce the sound enough to be fairly tolerable (maybe imagine the sound of waves on a beach). These are more comfortable, but they still can make my ears sore by morning. Pink: Same length as the purple, but slightly narrower. Least noise reduction of the 3. Things like neighborhood dogs barking, or a fan in the room become background noise. They would probably be completely ineffective blocking snores. However, if I were a mom of young children, I would be confident that I could hear their cries during the night. They are by far the most comfortable for me.
