After a wash it sits just below my belt. I am carrying about 40lbs more than I should f that helps. **Q: What is the "weight" of the 100% cotton? Is it 5.3 oz?** A: Call "weight is 6oz" is imprecise. The fabric is 6oz/sq yard cotton. The weight of any T-Shirt obviously depends on its size. I find my XL weighs about 8oz when first arrival. **Q: Are there seams down the sides?** A: No. The only stitching is on the sleeves **Q: In the picture the shirt looks a little shiny.
