Well worth the money, this speaker is heavy and loud. I got it on sale, and it's waterproof and is sized perfectly to sit under the hood of my truck. Works and functions exactly as intended!

I use it with my Uniden SDS-100. Good, clear sound, much better than the portable's built in one.

I ordered to compliment my Bearcat Scanner. I was not happy with its speaker, especially with nearby "louder" transmissions. The audio was often impossible to understand. I plugged this in and immediately noticed a fuller, crisper sound. My only observation is that I have to put volume louder than usual in order to get a good volume from this new speaker. The noise limiter button on top works, but it also lowers the overall volume. It actually is useless in my honest opinion. Overall, I like this and it makes listening much more enjoyable. Its built well and I love the idea of it bearing the "Bearcat" name. If your radio suffers with issues with sound quality, I do recommend adding this.

Loud and clear.

I have this paired with an SDS200. The audio is clearer than the stock speaker on the SDS200, but boy let me tell you this thing is quiet. I have the SDS200 cranked up to volume 30, but it is still the equivalent of about volume 12 from the stock speaker. So in short, you get clearer audio, but it is quiet. Update: I changed my reviews to 5 stars. My mistake was using the front headphone jack on the SDS200. When I plugged this into the external speaker jack on the back of the SDS200, it is much louder.

Does not work as advertised on Amazon: Had to remove factory audio plug (stereo-left channel connected only) and I replaced it with a mono audio plug. Sound works now but it did not amplify audio signal. ## Good quality & construction on speaker, but not what I wanted.

These are usually about £55 or more from the UK ham radio stores so £33.75 at Amazon was a steal. Bought to use with a Yaesu ft891 and icom 7300. Really good loud sound, no interference problems whatsoever in all modes at 100w. The speaker has a limited frequency range from 300 to 5000hz which is perfect for ssb and cw and reduces the unwanted noise. Solidly made. It has a noise suppression button on the top but the difference was only mildly noticeable. A good purchase at this price.

After having issues with line noise on the front port with my logitech speakers i had, and it only coming out of one channel on the back port, ended up getting this speaker for my Uniden SDS200. Great little speaker, audio quality is great, hard to notice a difference with the noise reduction button but it does seem to help a bit with some transmissions, audio quality is great but it is def a loud speaker to keep the scanner volume low!.

I found the sound quality much better than other speaker I had on before much richer sound.

La uso para radio HF, no aumenta pero si se escucha mas claro y con su filtro ayuda muchas veces a escuchar mejo sin algunos sonidos indeseables, tambien la he probado en rastreadores de frecuencia con muy buenos resultados, quiza pida otra
