Easiest Way to Protect Your Plants
These hoops are my young plants’ and tender greens’ new best friend. Living in South Louisiana, we are no strangers to voracious critters, disease-ridden bugs and harsh weather conditions. These hoops helped to provide the protection our veggies needed, improving the quality of our harvests big time! We had a lot fewer problems with insects eating our crop as well as the sun scorching the tender leaves. Squirrels and birds were kept at bay and we didn’t have to worry about damage from frost on those rare occasions. They are super easy to install; we used them all of last year (2 growing seasons) — they held up great. They survived some really windy weather not to mention driving rain and scorching heat. We used them in raised beds with wooden borders, which I’m sure helped with the support, but we never had problems with them falling over. The rods didn’t break and they didn’t rust (they’re fiberglass), but the ends got stained a bit with rust from the connectors. No biggie. The only downside is that the clips that came with the rods are kind of flimsy and are not easy to work with, especially if the fabric you cover the hoops with has any weight to it. Overall, I would highly recommend these hoops. They saved our veggies from all sorts of dangers, easily and organically!

I love these
I have ordered these three times for my garden beds. I extended my garden and these are so easy to use. I learned that they bend and can be unstable if extended to high without using a support at the top and on the sides. I would suggest not using more the 6 pole for creating your hoop house. Using insect or pest control netting is easy with this product. It comes with clips to secure the netting. I order a different type of clip though because I needed double coverage that the included ones couldn't support.

Round bed covers
A bit smaller and flimsier than expected but they work great for round beds. (I was thinking tent poles) I just bend over six of these hoops (in a rotating pattern) and zip tie them together where they all cross at the top to make a dome, then cover with plastic and it’s keeping my herbs and potatoes happy.

BROKEN RODS AFTER 2 WEEKS! 1 Star for each week and 1 Star for Design
I like the design of the rods, but strongly opposed to how easily rods slip out of the metal holders. We tried clamping rods ourselves into the metal holder, but it wasn't good either. Also, the green plastic clips provided were wrong size and did not fit securely on the edges of the metal holders. These green clips are supposed to ensure that the metal clamps stay in place?? Just not true! They are false sense of security because they are improperly sized and not strong enough to clamp onto the rod. Additionally, one of the rods broke after the second week! I was surprised because they appeared to be stronger than that! I was actually impressed at how this technology allowed the rods to bend! My husband kept saying that I was missing something because I kept telling him that the rods should be placed over the garden in arch shape! He kept saying, "How will they remain in the ground? How will these poles bend?" Well, he tried it and was surprised thst they guve slightly enough to connect to the metal holders and create the arch!! Voila!! 🤣 I guess one can tell that we are amatuers with gardening! I just wanted a way to keep the rabbits and bugs out of this small harvest. TO THE MAKER OR SELLER OF THIS PRODUCT: As a customer, I would recommend that dimensions, sizes, etc be listed for purchasing and that additional rods be added as eventally one rod will break. Also, please ensure the little green clips that help secure the metal holders from sliding are correct size to fit on each side of the metal holders. TO THE POTENTIAL PURCHASER: If you purchase these, go ahead and secure the rods with some apoxy, hot glue, or masking tape to prevent mishaps with rod slippage, etc.

10/10 recommend!
Excellent purchase! I bought this to go on my balcony to create a greenhouse that fit to what I needed. I was a little concerned that there wasn't going to be enough and I would have to buy more, but that wound up not being the case, and I actually have a couple lengths left over. We have had SEVERAL storms in my area (Southwest Missouri) since I installed it, and they have had held perfectly! I am extremely happy with how well they've held up. The first night I installed them was a large storm, and I was nervous all night, but I don't think they even moved! Considering how simple assembly is (literally just sliding pieces together), they seem much weaker than they are. This is another reason I was concerned, but as I said, they have held up beautifully! I know they are intended to go over small garden beds, but I made each end roughly 6 feet tall, so it is fairly customizable.

DO NOT BUY THESE.
For the price of these, I expected them to last longer than 2 weeks before breaking. As you can see in the video and picture, they ended up just snapping at the ends where the metal grommets go. I didn’t have them on a crazy tough tension either to where a snap in the material would be understandable. As you can see from the second picture, that’s what they all looked like. I have two garden beds that I used these on and as soon as the ones in the first garden bed began snapping, I quickly coated the others in electrical tape to try to hold them together for the rest of this year before I have to figure something else out. I don’t even bother trying to fix the broken ones now so my plants now live in teepees. For the amount of money I spent and the trouble I’ve gone through between asking my neighbors if they can throw the sticks and grommets back over the fence because they snapped again and flew everywhere, to having to come up with creative ways of balancing all of this, I say it’s not worth it. Purchase something else.

So good I bought them twice
Super easy assembly and have withheld through some rainstorms and windy days. I paired these hoops with a garden net in my gardening box and it's kept birds and squirrels out!

I live in a condo and decided this summer to teach myself gardening. I wanted to grow both things I can eat and things I can enjoy. So I focused on herbs and Chinese vegetables like bok choy and roses. The herbs and vegetable I grew in elevated planters. It was so successful I had visions of moving to the country and growing more vegetables! Until I discovered my bok choys were being infested by aphids. Like, massively infested on the underside of the leaves! 🤢 I was so disgusted and disappointed! I ended up spraying them with Safer soap and harvesting them earlier than I would wanted. I did research online to see how to prevent this from happening again and the only viable solution was to cover the planter with a fine mesh. I got the mesh and sew elastics on the corners to mimic a shower cap. But I was concern about the room and circulation the plants would get, so more surfing the internet to see if I can do something. And then I found these hoops - first the fact they have various sizes was fantastic, and second it is customizable and compact is what condo living requires! I choose the small size and when it arrived in a big box I had to laugh! I opened it and saw the pieces, I had to wonder about some of the comments here - how hard was it to put together? I didn’t need to crimp the connectors, and the walls of the planter boxes helped keep the hoops anchored. I did not using the mini clips (for now), and so far so good! I do use large clothesline clips that I got at the Dollar Store to clip the edges of the mesh to the planter. I can water through the mesh and once in awhile I take the mesh off to check for aphids - nada. One issue I have with this is the sticks can be a little more flexible. I wonder if anyone that purchase this had it up through winter - if the sticks fare well with extreme temperatures. I can’t wait for Spring to come so I can start growing vegetables again!

Stay clear, pick ones with a coating or sheath. Fibreglass no coating so use gloves or you will get fibreglass splinters,
