Umbra Flapper Coat Rack, Clothing Hanger, Umbrella Holder, and Hat Organizer, Great for Entryway, Black/Walnut (320361-048)

I have a contemporary house with natural maple floors and white trim, and I wanted a coat rack for near the door. This natural-wood coat rack was my choice. It was purchased sight unseen, but I thought the natural wood of the rack would be a decent approximation of my maple floors. The rack arrived in a single, rather small box, with three elements of the pole and the base nicely packed. Assembly was simple and took two minutes; it was clearly designed for easy assembly. Quality was good, with only two minor issues (e.g., one of the pole elements had a slightly different diameter than the other two, and another one had a slight blemish). The style is great. The wood is a slightly darker than my natural-maple floor, but the match is acceptable. The slightly-padded base provides nice balance and floor protection, and the diameter of the pole is fairly substantial (3 inches), but the dimensions are nicely proportioned.

Previously purchased two different coat racks from local brick and mortar stores, and both failed over the first two years for similar low manufacturing quality reasons. This coat rack, both materials and assembly mechanics wise, seems to a well made and a great deal for its price point. It has adequate weight and a large base which should prevent it from easily falling over, and the metal flapper hangers should last much longer than screw-in low quality wood alternatives. I would have normally preferred the darker stain alternatives but this white version at $50 less made it an even more palatable purchase.

Terrific coat rack. It’s sturdy at the base so it won’t tip over. It takes only about 5 minutes or less to assemble. It’s very convenient to throw sweat jackets, coats, umbrellas on it. It takes up very little space and helps to de-clutter the area. The hooks open or close but I just leave them open. I put a small area rug under it so when I put wet coats on the coat rack it won’t get my hardwood floor wet. But it stands nicely on a hard floor or rug. Definitely recommend.

Stylish and sturdy

I just put it together and it's very well made and goes together very easy. The base balances the rack extremely well. I'm using it in the bedroom to hang jeans and such so they don't get throw in the other furniture.

I ordered two different coat racks to have in separate guest bedrooms where we decided to remove the dressers since no one ever used them. This rack was the more expensive of the two but it definitely shows in the quality and overall appearance of the rack. You get what you pay for! Even on our thick carpet, it is very sturdy. It assembled in less than 60 seconds and the pieces screwed together tightly with no issues. The gray color goes very nicely with our modern decor. I love that you can fold in some of the hangers if you don't need them but I do wish that they had staggered the hangers. You can really only use one of the hangers in each column if you don't want things to hang over each other. I didn't think of that when I saw it online. If I had one critique on quality, it would be that the uppermost portion does not match exactly, the color and wood grain of the other pieces. It was very noticeable when I was assembling it, but it's not as noticeable when the unit is upright. Overall, I am extremely and pleasantly surprised with the quality.

This is not your ordinary coat rack. It is beautifully designed and very high quality. The solid wood center post comes in three parts which are easily assembled and attached to the base. This is quite heavy (but not too heavy). It is really like a work of art and compliments my decor beautifully. Couldn’t be happier with it.

We really hesitated to spend this much on a coat rack, as there were others available for half the price that seemed nice enough. But we loved the design of this one, with the hangers that fold in, and the quality of the wood appeared like it would be better. We are not sorry we spent the extra money, as the piece is beautiful and looks great in our entryway. It's really a piece of fine furniture, and we are very happy with it.

Un perchero de este precio debe justificarlo. Al fin y al cabo un perchero tiene poca tecnología, pero puede tener mucho impacto en el aspecto del espacio que ocupa. Lo compramos para la entrada de casa y estamos plenamente satisfechos. El diseño es moderno, funcional y robusto. El perchero llega empaquetado de manera compacta al estar dividido en 3 secciones, pero una vez montado no se aprecian las juntas y el aspecto es totalmente premium. Muy satisfechos con la compra.

Mooie kapstok en makkelijk in elkaar te zetten. Staat stevig op zijn voet.

Exclente producto como todo lo de Umbra, excelente diseño y terminados.
