First I would like to add that I brought this for a Asus ...
First I would like to add that I brought this for a Asus ROG setup to compliment Motherboard, Asus Aura Theme! I give it 5 stars! Let me first add there is nothing special about the Mechanical aspect of it as it performs just as well as my $35 wireless on key clicks. I love the detachable wire which comes in handy if you don't want the keyboard to light up when the system is off as it will correspond to the Motherboard Aura which is Awesome I really like that and is an added benefit! I like the size and really don't see myself purchasing the side kick unless I find it online for dirt cheap... as of now I think its like $80. I had some problems with the directional keys but it got resolved when I upgraded the firmware and now works perfectly! It fell and the F1 key completely broke off and made it look horrible with that missing cap as the stem is what snapped. I was able to crazy glue it back together and its strong and looks like new again... however the cap is now stuck to the key, but not a biggie. The ROG claymore software is needed for the upgrading and configuring profiles... but I had to uninstall it as conflicting with Aura Lighting. I guess the trick is to set it up and configuring it with claymore software but then uninstall so Aura will use it at startup to Match all other lighting effects. The Look is awesome... the patterns look good and it does look like you paid over $100 dollars for the design. The weight is great... feels heavy but isn't, it actually feels solid! The cord is thick and strong. As I said I brought this to more match my ROG/Aura theme but its a good keyboard...

Throw out your dictionary: "Fully Programmable" does not mean what you think it means
Looks amazing. Sounds great. Responsiveness is so so, I've noticed some slight lag when typing (as compared to Das Keyboard 4 Pro) , but nothing to stress too much about. What is bothering me is the marketing promise of "Fully Programmable" keys. I can reprogram a single key to be another single key, but I cannot reprogram a single key to be a combination keystroke such as [Cntl+Z]. My two Corsairs can do it, and it they were half the cost. The term "Fully Programmable" should not be a term I need seek a definition on. This is not a fully programmable situation. But if you don't care about that sort of stuff, you'll probably love it.

Great keyboard, but it seems ASUS' RGB control software doesn't save settings...at least with Windows10
I really like this keyboard. My first with mechanical keys, so it's a new experience, but it's a good one. It's hard to gauge key pressure when watching reviews and not actually going to a local store to try things. I opted for browns because they seem to have the lightest pressure of the cherry mx switches, but add the tactile feedback the reds don't offer. Been great for typing and gaming. A bit more noise than my old Microsoft Sidewinder, but that's expected. RGB effects are fun. I enjoy the default rainbow effect across the keyboard. I really like that you can custom color every single key, individually if you want to. It means I can set keys to different colors for easy recognition / reference when gaming. Unfortunately I can't get any of the settings to save. Any time my computer reboots it loses every setting. Even after waking from "sleep" state I have to go back into the ROG Armoury application and click on all my settings again to get them to turn on. I don't have to reset all of them after "sleep", but it's still more work than simply clicking on which configuration I want to use. Thus far I haven't been able to find anything online suggesting how this can be fixed. No updates from ASUS yet which indicate they address this issue. Not sure if it's due to Windows 10 or something else.

Great Keyboard
It's a great keyboard with great software to program lighting, macros, change key layouts, etc. The build quality is excellent. The heavy materials and large non-slip pads keep it from going anywhere. the quality of the braided cable is excellent. I got the cherry red switches. They're exactly what I wanted, but if you prefer brown, get the brown. My only problem with the keyboard is the keycaps. Definitely misguided and overly optimistic, but I guess I'd hoped the keyboard would come with doubleshot keycaps for such a high price. That's not the case. The keycaps are translucent white plastic with black paint. It seems perfectly durable so far, but I fear that I'll eventually have to replace the keycaps if the black paint begins to wear off. Time will tell. Fortunately, the keyboard uses a standard bottom row, unlike many keyboards from large manufacturers. All that being said, I'm still very satisfied with the keyboard. I won't tell you if it's a good value because that depends on your own personal budget, but I will say that this is an excellent keyboard. I would buy it again. If you can swallow the high price tag, it's a great peripheral.

... mechanical keyboards I've owned this is hands down the best built keyboard
Out of all the mechanical keyboards I've owned this is hands down the best built keyboard... and I currently own about 5 different mechanical keyboards and two of which are ASUS Claymore's in Cherry MX Reds and Cherry MX Browns. Why do I own 2 ASUS Claymore's? Well, because the design with the floating keycaps, but mainly because the spacebar on these ASUS keyboards are AMAZING. There is no wobble, and that cheap "springy" feel you get on some mechanical keyboards. It's sad that even some of Corsair's mechanical keyboards have that "wobble" and "springy" feel on the space bar. Even my G-Pro's spacebar is like that. The only other keyboard that I own that doesn't have a "cheap" feeling spacebar is my Logitech G513. It might not like seem much, but honestly having a spacebar that feels and sounds solid makes all the difference when typing and gaming. However the only thing that I do wish ASUS do better is the lighting. The lighting options along with the macro options in ASUS Armory are kinda sub-par, but I'm willing to make that sacrifice because of the excellent build quality

Great looking, yet dysfunctional
I purchased the MX Brown version of this keyboard. It is a great looking keyboard and was built well...and then I hooked it up. I installed ASUS's Armoury software and proceeded to look at personalizing the keyboard's colors and disabled the keys I didn't want accidentally pressed while gaming. From what I saw, you cannot set individual keys to different colors. It's either a pre-made color scheme, or 1 RGB color for the entire keyboard. With Logitech, I'm used to customization options that rival their software. After I selected a color, I then proceeded into Battlefield 1 and found out that I couldn't move my character with WASD keys. I stuttered like the key switches were randomly making contact with the board. The space bar didn't even work...at all. I obviously received a bad keyboard, and it makes me nervous to make the plunge and buy another 1. Too bad, because it's a great looking keyboard. I'll keep my G810 for now, and maybe purchase this again after the initial bugs are worked out of it and the software.

Good keyboard with a few small shortcomings
First off it feels really solid and well made. I've had about 4-5 keyboards ranging from razer to corsair to logitech and this feels the most solid and satisfying to type on. Quality product As for the shortcomings, I have a ROG mobo which is why I got this but I'm not sure if im tech savvy enough to manually set all these macros like fan speed bios boot up ETC because it doesnt come set up from the box, So unless you can figure all that out on your own dont consider that a buying feature. Which i did and i now regret Another small concern is that RGB feels a bit lackluster overall the colors look very muted compared to the pictures or other RGB gaming options like razer. I was trying a huntsman elite before this and although i like this keyboard more the RGB on that thing was amazing even without the wrist rest, came with more settings brighter lights and deeper configuration out the box with synapse Speaking of which, this doesnt come with a wrist rest.

Small compact little keyboard, bright colours and nice cherry switches. The Aura software has come a long way in a year and overall I love the design and functionality.
