I have absolutely no idea if this is authentic, but I do know that it appears fresh - as in a little springy and NOT dried out - and it really does "taste of the ocean". It has a distinct fishy, sea-weedy and oceanic flavor without any saltiness. Love it!! We'll be trying it as an additive to dishes assuming I haven't eaten it. Review: This is great - I like dried seaweed in my soup, and it has the taste of ocean. It is also extremely easy to cook. No sand so far.

This is great
I like dried seaweed in my soup, and it has the taste of ocean. It is also extremely easy to cook. No sand so far.

Tasty...just what I was looking for.
Makes a ton of seaweed once reconstituted with water. This package will last a long time.

Really good deal
This laver rehydrates in seconds and I love to eat it on it's own (weird) or with something else (probably what other people do). Because it's so light but turns into something with so much bulk I also love to take it with me when I travel in case I'm in a place with no healthy snack or meal options.

Found plastic mixed in with seaweed
Ate half the bag already, its good with soups. While drinking the soup today we found a piece of plastic mixed in with the seaweed. Just to make sure it was plastic, i placed it over a fire and it melted, and smelled it to make sure it was indeed plastic and not seaweed.

Excellent product, good laver taste and a pleasant simple snack by itself.
