I would consider this an essential device for any healthcare worker. It has become an important part of my daily routine. Get home, phone goes in, and it's done by the time I get out of the shower. It doesn't require setup, and is incredibly easy to use. As far as efficacy goes, you can find independent studies in academic journals assessing it, which found it to be more effective than various chemicals. I've been using similar UV tech for water purification in the developing world for years. The device itself was very well packaged, and arrived early. I felt the price was fair, and would highly recommend this product.

Very good sanitizer for phone

It's super easy for the lid to slam shut on this thing busting the delicate bulbs inside. Such a poor design that ruins a useful and expensive product. I would have thought after several generations they would have not let such an obvious oversight make it to the final product. And here we are years later with still no updated design to resolve that issue.

Great buy! Useful product!

I previously purchased both the PhoneSoap 3 and the PhoneSoap Pro. Each unit required at least one replacement under warranty due to the internal UV light burning out. Then both new warranty units ultimately failed again. After navigating the warranty process two times, I decided it was no longer worth repeating and recycled the units. To be fair, customer support is responsive when contacted. That is not the issue. The frustration lies in the warranty process itself. It involves multiple follow up photos and numerous questions, making it more time consuming than necessary. Additionally, the units must be mailed back. While I understand this is intended to prevent fraudulent claims, it still adds inconvenience. I eventually switched to a different product and have been much happier. I now use the Simplehuman Clean Station, which offers a noticeably higher level of build quality, materials, and overall premium feel. The stainless steel construction and design feel significantly more refined in my opinion. That said, the PhoneSoap Pro does have one advantage. It is better suited for larger phones with bulkier cases. The Simplehuman Clean Station is more sleek and streamlined, making it ideal for thinner phones or minimal cases. Overall, this was my experience. PhoneSoap does work, but in terms of quality, design, and ease of ownership, I prefer the Simplehuman option.
