Dura Play Ball

One of my girls first toys at eight weeks old it was purple (they don't carry anymore) but if this was all she ever got she would be in heaven. She's 9 now and has had so many and they have never fallen apart or been chewed up but I do think the bacon smell fades and she'll think she needs a new one. My friend sends her a 3 pack every year at Christmas. These little balls are wonderful.

BLUF: Our dogs absolutely love these — the squeak is loud enough that we sometimes have to take them away. --- Our dogs went crazy for these the moment we opened the pack. They’re durable, super bouncy, and easily became the new favorite toys in the house. The only thing to know is that the squeak is loud — like “I need to take this away for a minute” loud. But honestly, that’s probably why the dogs love them so much. Great value for a 3‑pack and perfect for pups who enjoy a good squeaky toy.

Our dog likes toys, but this ball is now her favorite ball. She even took it to bed with her last night. Our dog is 65 pounds, but she likes smaller toys so I ordered the small ball. It’s a good size. It’s nice and soft and squeaks. She seems to kills the squeaker right away, but she didn’t with this ball. It seems to be the least amount of money I’ve spent on a toy for her and it’s her favorite. I ordered another one just to have on hand. This toy is a great bargain!

I first found these at a giant brick and mortar store that has since stopped carrying this size. I have a dachshund and he swears by this toy. So much so that he has worn out the original and is now working on number 2 ( after a year of CONSTANT use ( seriously we have to take it away just before bed or it ends up under my wife or myself and sqeeks when you roll over and it's the first thing he looks for in the morning)). I was reading over the other reviews and saw someone compare them to the Kong brand of toys. This was a really unrealistic comparison. The Kong brand is for dogs that are bent on destructive chewing habits whereas these toys are just that... toys, they are not meant to be indestructible so IF you already know your dog just wants to chew something until it's gone don't worry about grabbing one of these. However, if your dog loves to run and chase a well designed sqeek toy that's easy to grab even for aging teeth please keep reading. Here's the breakdown of this toy; Positive notes: The fluffy stuff inside this ball keeps the sqeeking action going EVEN after the dog has punctured the outer shell within reason. The ball is just around the size of a tennis ball so throwing and gripping are no problem for owner or dog however there are indents that add an extra element of adventure for the dog by causing an uneven bounce patern. They are so close to tennis ball sized that a Chuckit! Launcher holds them fine. The rubber outer shell is a soft velvety feeling stuff that is extremely resistant to bites except for super sharp puppie teeth as one reviewer noted. I purchased one of these ( medium ) for a friend at work and her larger dog is just over a year old so the razor sharp edges of her furbabies teeth have been dulled just a bit. that one lasted 7 months and now she's asking for details on where to buy them and what size that one was. The DOWN SIDE(s): The dog's love these things. None of the dogs or puppies I have gotten one for as a gift will leave them alone and when they finally perish in a sqeekless glory the dogs ( 5 total ) have ALL pined for their Dura Play. I wouldn't really want to count this as a downside but anything that addictive is prolly not healthy psychologically. ( not that my dog cares one bit for the psychology of addiction as long as he has his Mr. Squeeky ) My only other complaint is that the sqeeker is buried down in there. I don't know how that one dog got the thing out but I have tried to give our spare one laryngitis with car keys and coathangers just so we can go out and play late at night in the summer without bothering our neighbors. Not happening, this thing withstood everything I felt comfortable throwing at it. And trust me I dug around in there trying to make it silent. They will however jar loose after months and months of impact against the ground and so go silent for a day or two at times until it hit's just right and there it goes making it's happy sounds again. They do seem to "talk" in different pitches and my dog loves the lower pitches ( I think the higher pitched ones hurt his ears ) those are the first ones I gave away as gifts and those dogs had no issues with the sound so it may just be a preferential thing. He's getting up in age so it may just be that the higher pitch is harder for him to hear as well. All in all, again, UNLESS your dog or puppie is just out to destroy his or her toys I would really recomend giving this ball a shot.

There was a deal to buy 3 and get one free. I got 3. No free one. The dogs LOVE these squeaky, soft, tough balls. Little dogs (30 lbs) and big dog (80lbs) same size ball, but perfect for both because it’s squishy. After a couple weeks, one ball lost its squeak. Three it away for safety sake. Made of a “dirt magnet” material that needs washing regularly. Not a magnet, people, I mean it hangs on to mud, dirt, slobbers grime. But… the dogs LOVE them. So I clean. And they are cheap enough to replace them when they lose their squeak. Also, if you are driven crazy by squeak toys, do not even bother. But… did I say? MY DOGS LOVE THEM! Update is that if you have an aggressive chewer, (our Smallest dog) they will chew a hole and then pull out a foam stuffing. Please be aware and remove the ball from the chewing menace for their own safety!

Bought this for Christmas for my fetch obsessed dog. We have had this before and he’s loved it. But the minute I pulled it out of the box and hid it until Christmas everyday he was crying for it because the balls were a strong scent of bacon. The sound works well but my dog will overly squeak the ball if he’s too hyper. Last time I had it, it lasted my dog a while. Ultimately we had lost it but he never tore through the ball. I wouldn’t say it’s really sticky. There is stuffing but that’s on the inside of the toy for the scent. The function is amazing and can keep my dog entertained!

My dog is obsessed with this toy. He’s a 19 lb Shih Tzu and it’s the perfect size. Seems like good quality that will last over time

Our GSD is a hit or miss when it comes to balls. She usually prefers competition games such as tugging, chasing and capturing vs. cooperative games like fetch. We have never found a ball that has kept her interest, until now. I honestly have no idea why this ball over the several dozen other ones we own, but she absolutely loves this one. If we are unable to play with her, she'll toss it around herself and play. For the price (under $8 for the large size), I'm coming back to purchase more! Now, outside her loving it, the durability is questionable, but seriously the price and her amount of use on this toy is worth it for us. She has had this now for 8 days and sadly it stopped squeaking the original squeak within 24 hours. However, that was after a lot of play with an aggressive chewer. It then had a weird squeak for several days and by day 7, no more squeak. Which, honestly is kind of nice as the constant squeaking is annoying, but I think the squeaker kept her engaged. She has put a LOT of holes inside the ball, but the integrity of the rubber is holding up! With holes, the ball is still completely intact and the squeaker inside has not come out. She has not torn the rubber apart either. I love that she hasn't lost interest in the ball even though the squeaker is gone. This is supposed to smell like bacon, not sure if it really does. Maybe a fine hint, just enough for a dog's nose so it's my overwhelming for us humans. A part of tasting is smelling, so maybe it really does smell like bacon and that's why my dog loves this so much. I definitely recommend this toy and will continue to purchase these as needed.

My dogs absolutely love these balls. They are comfortably soft in the mouth, squeak, smell good for the dogs, and are bright which makes them easy to find. When we take the balls to the dog park every dog there tries to steal them - even the ones who aren’t ball dogs. Eventually they wear out and split, especially if dogs try to grab them off each other, but they last a good while before going to ball heaven, even with my strong large dogs. I’ve bought these a few times, and will hopefully continue to buy them for my dogs in the future.

Estas pelotitas son excelentes para jueguen los perritos el mio es un schnauzer y se da unas entretenidas con ellas, como tiene un silbato que al apretarlas suenan, anda por toda la casa, son muy duraderas, muy suavecitas, recomendable su compra 100%

Tenho 2 poodles muito ativos, mas nenhum deles gostou dessa bolinha. O suposto cheiro de bacon não parece tão atrativo para eles.
