There is no MSG in the ingredients and it is Gluten free.

I have microwaved it, but not on a plate by itself. I added it to a frozen Japanese dinner which only took a couple of minutes to heat. It survived microwaving just fine, but this Wasabi product is so powerful I didn't like it heated with the dish and since have added it after. Done right after microwaving the Wasabi is lightly heated instead of fully hot. Mine is an 1100 Watt microwave if that helps you at all.

Really good flavor and has plenty of heat like horseradish. I have purchased it a number of times. Very easy to use. I keep it in the refrigerator once I have opened the tube and I have never had it leaked out. I have used this brand for years. Easier to keep fresh than horseradish sauce or than grating your own horseradish. Works good in sour cream when you’re eating prime rib. Also makes into a great shrimp cocktail sauce. When refrigerated it lasts for months and months without losing its flavor.

Great flavor, very hot. Probably hotter than most restaurants and sushi places you’ve tried. Just a dab will do ya! I prefer to mix a little with my soy sauce for dipping / pouring. Works great.
