I think I’ve used all printer makes in the past, either personally or in business. I know Brother make a good printer, a company that know what they are doing. I needed to replace an old canon mfc that had been doing a good job for years but started needed cleaning more and couldn’t print straight so was time for a new printer. This Brother, is excellent, first off it’s quiet. Which I like. It’s quick at printing. Ecoprint is a great feature and a trial for 2.99 you get huge ink cartridges sent to you. Scanning to phone and pc worked a treat. I’m very happy.

Easy to use and no complaints. Use it to print from my phone and scan documents to my email mainly. I personally can’t think of a negative.

Great MFC printer, got this to replace my old brother printer which became faulty having trying to clean the printer head with cleaner.Quality product print very fast easy to setup nice and quite operations, reason not full 5 stars is because I prefer larger touch 6.8 screen rather than the buttons.One of the reasons I chose this model was because of the number of pages it can print from the ink cartridges, having done my research the cost ratio per page vs the cost of replacement print cartridge represented good value, would highly recommend this printer.

Let me give you a little backstory on myself - I previously had a Brother printer that lasted me 20 years, ran great even on third party cartridges and had printed many thousands of pages before it finally gave up on me. I also have a Brother sewing machine which I love, so I'm a big fan of Brother stuff.When my old printer broke, I went over to Epson so I could have a tank printer, but it only lasted me a few months before it broke and it went back to Epson. Amazon customer service were great.It was then I decided to go back to Brother, even if it meant having a printer with cartridges. Bad decision. You cannot get cartridges for this printer anywhere. There are no third party cartridges for this, and even official cartridges are very hard to come by, and when you do they're incredibly expensive. The Brother website has been out of stock for the entire time I've owned the printer, Amazon don't sell them. I don't know if this model has been discontinued and Amazon are still selling old stock or what, but I regret my purchase and I'm now looking into other printers.Perhaps you're thinking I should have checked what cartridges it took before I purchased, and you're right. I did try, but the information was incredibly hard to come by, but when I typed Brother cartridges into Amazon there was no shortage of items so I assumed it would be fine. You'll struggle to find this info elsewhere so here you go: it takes LC426 or LC426XL cartridges.It's a shame because the print quality is great.
