It is a very high quality leather knife sheath. It looks very expensive. Good quality leather and it fits many of my different knives. Nice universal sheath. I like it because it is durable and thick, and the knife comes out quickly when it is unsnapped. I don't like sheaths that holds a knife in too tight because being able to pull the knife out quickly is important. This one is perfect. I have my Cold Steel Recon Tanto in one because the Kydex sheath that comes with the Cold Steel knives holds the knife in too tight and that type of sheath scratches the knife handle. This sheath protects the knife, protects you, is easy to draw the knife out of, and doesn't cause the handle to wear or scratch/dull the blade. Leather sheaths like this are the way to go!

Excellent quality leather, my Bowie style knife fits perfectly. Snap cover stays on, can wear this on your belt if you want. The leather is thick and the sharp blade won't cut through the tip.

I was given a World War II vintage military-issue knife with some handle damage and fairly serious corrosion on the blade. After cleaning it up and sharpening it, I was looking for a suitable leather sheath in which to store it safely in a vehicle. I bought this one, and it is pretty much "as-advertised." It will do the job. The manufacturer gives acceptable blade dimensions -- the blade of this knife is almost exactly 6" long and not wider than the width dimension given. Fit was just about perfect, even though the blade is quite heavy. As for "fit and finish," the leather and stitching are tight, attractive, and look like they'll hold together -- but the leather is not as heavy/durable as I would have wanted for a knife of this size and weight. (Other sellers on Amazon offer more expensive sheaths for military knives, and one of these that I bought a few years ago for an old Ka-Bar is considerably heavier and more durable in construction.) Bottom line: this sheath "will do," and it's about what I expected for this price; but I would not purchase it for a knife that I'd be carrying every day and exposing to the expected wear-and-tear of that situation.

I 3D printed a knife that uses a 7 1/4 inch by 1 1/4 inch tanto blade. It fits into this perfectly.

I bought this sheath as an option for a CS Recon. It's holding up well so far. The fit isn't perfect but it definitely serves its purpose. The materials appear to be of decent quality and it looks good with its simple, classic design. No problems noted yet and I am pleased with this purchase. I actually bought another slightly smaller one for a shorter blade and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if needed.

I bought this for my late Father’s WW2 era RH PAL 36 fighting knife. Fits nicely.

The material is thinner than expected.
