Very good but basic.
I like the screen but it’s overpriced on AMZ. It works as a speed display in my car and now I understand why car display are so expensive. This display floods up with black pixels when it’s very hot inside the car. After a cooldown it’s back to normal. Programming is very easy and no issues with drivers and libraries.

Nerd Miner
Everything on the board works well. Turned this into a BTC Nerd Miner, it's full assembled, I just had to flash the software onto the board, super easy. Now I have a Bitcoin Lottery Machine, it'll likely never find a block, but it's neat start to dive into Bitcoin & Bitcoin mining. ~$25 board for a chance to win $250k+ in BTC every 10mins.

Great little product, poor Arduino libraries
Nothing wrong with the product per-se. Its a great little package of processor and screen. Has plenty of GPIOs available and USB-C, also a battery port which I didn't use. The screen is bright and clear. That said I had big troubles getting it working in the arduino IDE. Firstly I had to drop the ESP core software back to v2.x to get the ESP32-S3 working with the FASTLED library and secondly I had to use a sperate branch of the TFT-eSPI library to get it working with ESP32-S3. Hopefully thats helpful to anyone having issues. I also expect these library issues will clear up eventually. I cant comment to other IDE - I just use Arduino.

This is just a fun ESP-32 system with an LCD Display
Excellent system for those wanting to learn ESP-32 with a nice reasonable display. Examples on Youtube are all you really need for advise. I programmed using but Arduino IDE and Visual Studio Code.

circuit not well designed for common use cases
Check the circuit diagram before you purchase. Notice these complaints that I have: 1. There's no ON button for the battery, the battery is always connected, there's a pin you can drive low to turn off the unit. The only way to turn ON the unit is to plug in through USB. 2. There's no access to the 5V power rail (or otherwise, an input to the AP2122K-3.3V regulator) at all. So that means there's no good way of using any DC/DC buck converter to power this unit. Also, remember that if you tried to connect to VDD3V3 instead, the whole chip will have more noise. 3. If you mount the board to a circuit board, then there's no way to disconnect the battery since the connector is on the bottom and pointed towards the inside of the board. The battery connection is also not available on the header pins. So with these flaws in mind, please consider the M5StickC, M5Stack, or Adafruit Feather instead.

Good little board for Arduino programming.
This is a great arduino ESP32S3 board. The only complaint is that it is still cheaper to order directly from the Lily site, but that site also takes much longer to ship the items.
