## Description

This is a left-handed diecast casement locking handle with an offset base found on many contemporary casement windows (as viewed for the inside looking out). The mounting holes are positioned offset of the centerline down the base placing them closer to the window frame edge by 13/16 inch from the tip of the lock to the center of the mounting holes. This handle has an a white finish with mounting holes for the handle assembly and the keeper at 1-1/2 inch on center.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: how does this work?  Is the black part supposed to be a magnet?  There is no way to engage the handle with the other part to secure the window.**
A: I bought these for pull in basement windows. Work really well, no magnets. Lock windows securely.

**Q: Do these latches work on windows that open inward?**
A: These are for windows that open outward but I think you can make it work if install in on a side that doesn't open.

**Q: What stops the window from being pushed in from the outside? Pictures of your install would be great.**
A: The rectangle black piece is inserted into the strike rectangle opening. It sticks up. The handle tip has a small hook on it. When handle is turned closed, the hook goes behind the raised black piece. This is what keeps it closed. This item is for an outswing window so if it were to be an inswing window, there would me nothing to stop it.
