My New Favorite Daily Wear Watch
This watch meets all of my needs. It's great looking on the wrist. My wrist is more than 8 inches around and this large face works. Many watches appear too small on my wrist. Not this one. It's just right! Easy to read time and excellent backlight for when it's dark. Many truly useful functions. This is an outstanding watch. Great for daily wear and great for the outdoorsman. Rugged construction. Super comfortable, thick strap never irritates the way cheaper, nylon straps do. My only gripe is that a watch of this price should come with a sapphire crystal. But, I use a hardened glass screen protector so I don't worry about scuffing it up.

I have had the best luck with Casio products
I have had the best luck with Casio products, they last! I have had the Garmin Fenix, and Tactix; they were great when they were working. Both had batteries die, and even after sending them in to be replaced they failed a month to 45 days later. Oh well, I do not want to say all of Garmin Watches will do that, I highly doubt they will. Suunto is another company I really liked, but the batteries with there products also failed way to often. Throughout my life I have had mostly Casio watches, and the last one I purchased before this one was the PAW1500Y; a really great watch, and it still works! Its beat up, but aside from that I can't complain. What I like about this watch so far is the band, Solar, looks, weight and functions. I decided that a GPS on a watch for me wasn't necessary and since this watch is Solar I do not need to worry about having a USB cable or outlet to charge it. It is simple and elegant in its own right, and would recommend it to anyone.

Great looking watch and light weight
The watch looks great, aesthetically pleasing. The nylon strap is of high quality and feels very comfortable on the wrist. The watch is very light weight so you don’t feel it that much and there is no jiggle on the wrist. My hand is a bit less than 17cm and the watch fits well, ofc it’s big but it’s not a dress watch, it’s a watch for the outdoors, so I like it that way. I will post an update once I utilize the sensors more. For now the temperature sensor seems to be useful only off wrist

Not as complicated as some are making it out to be.
There are plenty of good reviews explaining the great things about this watch, and you should pay attention to them. The watch is good quality, great looking, and has plenty of features for those of us who live an active lifestyle but don't want/need a computer on our wrist. But mainly, I want to address some of the biggest and most repetitive complaints, because many are just wrong, and some are from people who are just too lazy to spend 5 minutes learning how something works before complaining about it. 1) "The watch is too complicated...setting the time is even difficult." - Yes, this watch is more complicated than a watch that just tells time. Yes, the screw-in crown may be different than what you're used to. You don't set the time with this like you do a normal watch...you tell it what time zone you live in, by making the second hand point at your home time zone, which is displayed on the bezel. 2) "The digital screen is hard to read because the hands are always in the way" - Pushing the lower-left and lower-center buttons simultaneously will move the hands to the 2 o'clock position, leaving the screen viewable...this is in the manual. 3) "There's too much to remember to use every feature on the watch." - I don't know what to say...buy a smart watch? This is an analog watch with a lot of features...yes, it takes time to remember if you're going to use them all (but, let's be real for a second...most of us bought this for a few key features, and aren't using them all. But even if you are, it's not that complicated, just take the time to learn it). 4) "The temperature isn't accurate." - This is true...think about it. The watch is sitting on your wrist and taking the temperature of the air through the sensor on the left side of the case. The air in that area is going to be affected by your body heat. However, in multiple climates, I've tested the watch temperature against the temperature on my phone, and it's within 4 degrees fahrenheit. If you need it to be super accurate, you won't want to rely on it...but if you're looking for a "good idea" of an approximate temperature, the watch is more than adequate. Again, stop buying analog watches and expecting smart watch functions. 5) "The compass/barometer/etc isn't accurate." - Mine are...calibrate yours (instructions in the manual). 6) "The backlight is too bright/makes it hard to read the watch face." - I disagree. Maybe this is something that's changed, but the backlight on my watch makes the face easily readable without being so bright to be distracting. If you're being "blinded" by it I'd have to guess you get in an accident every time you encounter a car with its headlights on. The auto-light feature works great, though admittedly it does require you to move your wrist at a bit of a awkward motion, which should be common sense as you wouldn't want the light activating every time you itch your nose or move your arm. Once you get used to it, it can be a useful feature, but most of the time it's easier and less awkward feeling to just use the button. At the end of the day, this is a high-quality, super accurate and useful multi-feature watch. I primarily rely on mine for the compass, barometer and of course time keeping. Though I don't regularly travel outside of my time zone, I do on occasion, and I've found the world clock to be useful and simple. I spend a lot of time outdoors, hiking and hunting. Though I carry a compass and map in my pack, I prefer to have the compass on my wrist once I have my bearings, and this one never lets me down. It's simple to read, quick to activate, and is spot-on accurate. I use the barometer to gather intel on barometric pressure when I'm hunting or doing long-distance shooting. While not a critical piece of information to have unless you need pinpoint accuracy at great distances, it does affect your shot, so I like being able to quickly gather a reading and factor it in.

Light, comfortable, quality.
Very comfortable everyday watch. Very light and easy to wear. Not too big, not too small, my wrist is 16 cm’s and it fits perfect. The colours are darker than the photos. Dark green, dark yellow, black, it’s suitable for military use also. When strap gets wet, it dries very quickly. Not a very attractive watch but it looks and feels very quality. I used my ex protrek for ten years and then it passed to my son now, i believe that i will use this prg600 for the next ten years at least.. (Edit: At hot weathers when your wrist sweats, the strap can smell badly. If you live in a very hot city, you may wash the strap, because it is made of cloth)

Perfect watch?
Looks great - clean, easy to read, and contemporary. Very light. Great features. I've had challenges with other Casio watches being difficult to adjust and use. However, this one is pretty simple and intuitive to adjust. Solar-powered is nice too- no more battery changes. Great for travel with an easy to function world time feature. I have many watches, but this will likely become my most worn.

Lots of Features for the Outdoorsman
I can't say enough about this great watch. All the features are great for the hunter, hiker or off road enthusiast etc. The barometer tells me when the weather is changing and the compass is accurate and fun to watch. I only had to skim the instructions and play around with it to remember what button does what. As far as looks, I have a large wrist, 9 inches, so I usually need a larger face and band and this watch was perfect, the band sits comfortably in the second to last hole. If you have an average wrist the band is still fine and the watch face is not overly large. It's needs to be as large as it is for all the features. The only thing that could be better is if it lit up a little better in the dark, but overall it's quite functional.

Good Value, Nice appearance
When the watch arrived, the time and date were already correct because this is radio controlled. The size of the face is large and easy to read. It has the same functionality as the Casio Mudmaster, $500 less. It also has a thinner profile and doesn't look like a stack of legos like the mudmaster. I am really happy with this watch and the ease of setting it up like I want it. For the money, this is a good value for the money. I wore the Garmin Fenix 7 for several years. I love it, still have it. This Protrek serves a different purpose and is a great escape from getting all the messages I used to receive.

Excellent Value for Money
For those new to ProTrek, this is a nice entry point watch. Very rugged yet clean watch. Surprisingly slim and light. It will be a little big for small wrists. The Legibility is excellent with great Lume application.
