This is a great product! It doesn't stain, nor leave marks. Leaves your leather goods really shiny and moisturized. It will last you forever too! Your leathers will get protected always.

Some boot and shoe people are rather haughty when it comes to saddle soap and they never use it. However, Fiebing's Saddle Soap is great stuff and it cleans and conditions your leather well. If you use it, work up a good lather either in the lid with plenty of water before scrubbing your leather. DON'T LET IT DRY! Wipe it off with a blue shop towel. Once the leather is completely dry, condition the leather as usual. IF you don't let the soap dry on the leather, it will condition the leather and leave it supple. Lanolin, neatsfoot oil, and other waxes and conditioners are good for leather and will add protection. It is very effective at cleaning, it smells clean, is easy to use, and leaves a light shine behind.

I don't know why it took me so many years to understand that "saddle soap" is the closest thing that exists to a magic bullet for leather care. Is it dirty? Clean with saddle soap. Does it smell bad? Clean with saddle soap. Is it dry? Saddle soap helps. This stuff has dramatically simplified my care regimen for boots, belts, luggage, sheaths, holsters, straps, etc. etc. I still have and use waxes and conditioners, but the saddle soap often comes first. Really good stuff. 👍

While using this saddle soap on the black shoes, I didn't see a visible difference - only a soft cloth in my hands turned more brownish when I rubbed off the soap. But when I applied it to the white leather sneakers (full of spots and wear residue), waited for a while and rubbed it off after, the result was just marvellous! All dark stains and spots were gone! Sneakers became snow white as if new from the shop. Highly recommended for any leather product.

This is a must have if you value the longevity of a good pair of boots. Cleans and conditions, works into a nice sud to carry away the dirt hidden in crevasses that destroy your boots over the years. Makes the boots pliable and receptive to further conditioning / polish. Good value because you really don’t need much saddle soap the clean a pair of boots, one tin lasts a couple years with regular weekly or biweekly cleaning.
