Seagate is reliable & easy to use.
I buy the Seagate portable hard drive to keep copies of my various pictures, videos, gifs, etc al just in case they need to be restored. I keep the back-up on continuous any time I change or add something to my folders. You need to download the Seagate back-up app from the Seagate website if it not installed with hard drive to work with the hard drive. I have used Seagate for over a decade.

As ordered
It was exactly what we ordered - but we had to send it back. PlayStation will only handle up to an 8tb hard drive, and this was a 10. The return was easy though…just took it up to UPS and they handled the rest!

Good storage capacity, but be prepared for extended wait before being able to access files
This drive, while it has a good amount of storage space, is annoying when it comes to accessing data on it. I have the drive connected to my Alienware gaming computer (with Windows 11 Professional) that I literally bought in October of 2023 with upper-end stats, and literally any time I try to access it, it freezes File Explorer for anywhere between 30 sec to over a minute before I can do anything. If I continuously access the drive after that, it's pretty responsive, but if I don't access it for like 5-10 minutes, then it goes through the whole file explorer freezing process again. If I had to guess, it's taking that long for the drive to actually spin up to speed before Windows can actually access the content of the drive. While it does the job that I bought it for (archiving content that I don't access very often), the fact that it makes file explorer inaccessible for an annoying amount of time would make me think about buying another one if this one ever dies.

The hard drive faiked
The external hard drive was defective it stop working after 3weeks and then when I attempted to reboot the drive it just started humming very loudly! It needs to be sent back for a refund

Just 3 weeks using this thing DIED...
Buyer beware, I'm literally 3 days out of being able to return this device, it has completely DIED, this device is now a 250 dollar door stop. Do NOT BUY...
