As advertised! Wonderful!
I needed this item to buck 7.2V to 5V to power a 2m length of RGB led, and power an Arduino Mega 2560. It has performed admirably. The heatsinks make enclosing a bit of a pain, but I have absolutely nothing to complain about! This is about as beefy a DC-DC converter you can get for its size; able to handle 20 amps (didnt test myself). While 12$ wasn't great, I would not hesitate to get this part again for any high current, low voltage projects in the future.

Worked for my application
Switched my solar setup from 12 to 24v. Now using this device to go from 24v back to 12v so I can run my laptop on my favorite little inverter, saving my larger 24v inverter for high-draw devices only. Make sure you measure your output voltage before hooking anything up to it. I got sloppy and blew up my inverter the first time (I think I had it set to like 50v, whoops), but luckily it was simple to replace the capacitor inside that blew up, and once I adjusted the voltage correctly, everything works.

Shorted out.
As soon as I hooked it up it started smoking.

Load testing to 200 watts or 16.5 amps
I see complaints about sag. I tested this out with some hobby grade gear. For sure some sag but depending on your use case you can over come this. This was for a 12v Oxalic acid vaporizers which is resistive load. I over volted to 13v to maintain 12v at full load. You can see me step up 1 amp at a time to see sag at different loads. I am sure there would have been less sag with larger gauge wire. Audio warning high flow fan to keep cool

Working great !
Solid units to which we designed now a 3d printed housing so those units are protected and easier to wall mount. We use 21-29V DC in and very stable 12v, 21V and 24V DC out and the output only fluctuations 0.01V DC from no to full load of 260Watt.

Very poorly designed.
These are crap. They work OK as voltage regulators, but very poorly as constant current regulators. Completely rebuilt them to get them to work as a CC regulator for powering high current LEDs. One of the three didn't even work in CC mode at all, one of the IC's was bad that prevented it from working correctly.

good and simple to use
small and compact power supply

I was as impressed by these as I am completely afraid to get anywhere close to them. I bought them to drive a pair of 19v mini PCs off of a 24V power supply, and it works great!

You can see the photo. The worst soldering ever. The thing is defective and deserves 0 stars, returned.

For heavy loads need forced air flow trough heat sinks.

Works great using it to step down 18v drill battery to 12v to power kids toy car

I purchased this to use a drill battery in a power wheels. It worked when I tested it on the bench, but by the time I got it to the car it would only output 2v
