Dremel has come up with a good idea with this EZ Lock kit. It offers a good selection of tips that should cover most tasks. Everything is well made and the EZ Lock tip is easy to use and holds securely. No complaints at all with this kit. Was worth the price with one use.

Good value for the money!

This is my first experience using a Dremel, and I am already excited about all the possibilities this little tool is going to open up for my woodworking and craft projects! I have a small woodworking shop and enjoy taking pieces of offal and turning them into something unique. I wanted a tool that would let me add more detail to my projects, shape and smooth those hard-to-reach areas, and give my finished pieces a more polished look. Being completely new to a Dremel, I was a little unsure about how difficult it would be to learn, but I have found it easy to use and I'm having fun experimenting with the different accessories and learning what each one can do. That's probably what excites me the most—there are so many different attachments and accessories available that I feel like I've only scratched the surface of what I'll eventually be able to create with it. I'm looking forward to learning new techniques and seeing where my creativity takes me. I have a feeling this is going to become one of my favorite and most-used tools in the shop!

I have been using Dremel rotary tools at my primary tech job for over 20 years. We have an assortment of rotary tool accessories and bits that have been used on electronic box builds, enclosure modifications, some fabrication, and even light duty routing into PVC plastics and various types of wood. Dremel has introduced new accessory tools that I never have used before. I purchased the Dremel EZ727-01 for my own personal use and paired it with the 160-piece kit. Every accessory is useful. Some I already have in the 160-piece kit. The coarse grit abrasive buff I have never used before. I tried it out on a steel bar that had some light surface rust on it. This accessory did a great job of removing the surface rust without sanding away any metal. I tried to strip some paint off of another bar, and it wasn't adequate for that job compared to a 120 grit flapwheel sander. At some point, I will try to strip paint on some soft and hard wood to see if it does the task better than an 120 grit flapwheel without sanding away too much of the wood. At some point, I will have to compare these abrasive buffs to an 80 grit flapwheel. These abrasive buffs will be added to our rotary tool accessory arsenal at my primary tech job.

If you are using a rotary tool, the ez lock system can save you some serious time by changing the cutter and not pulling out the shaft to make a cutter change or having to fumble around with that tiny screw that goes through the disc to the shaft.

Works perfectly

They were definitely worth it. I haven't had to buy more of them either. Before I even use one, I use a fresh one to trace the circle on the back of a high-enough quality sheet of sandpaper, cut them out, and whenever one wears out (or I need a specific grit) I glue the new one over the worn-out one and BANG!...Bob's your Auntie...lol. This system (EZ-Lock) is super easy to change attachments...and safer IMHO... I couldn't find the cordless Dremel that I wanted (the Bluetooth Dremel 8260) anywhere, so I went and bought the "Work-Pro" cordless 12V rotary tool, and it's just as good as a (Dremel 8220 ) at over ½ the price, and have had it for a while. I'm very impressed. By saving on the tool, and the EZ-Lock system, I can afford to go a little wild on even more attachments...and tools. I hope all this helps somebody out there.
