game-changer for my daily routine
I recently installed the InSinkErator H-HOT150SN-SS Instant Hot Water Dispenser in my kitchen, and it has been a game-changer for my daily routine. This dispenser provides hot water instantly, which is incredibly convenient for making tea, coffee, or even speeding up meal prep. The installation process was straightforward, and the unit fits neatly under the sink without taking up too much space. The satin nickel finish on the dispenser faucet looks sleek and modern, complementing my kitchen decor beautifully. One of the standout features is the adjustable temperature control, allowing me to set the water temperature to my preference. The hot water is delivered consistently and quickly, which saves me time and energy compared to using a kettle or microwave. The dispenser is also energy-efficient, as it only heats the water when needed, reducing overall energy consumption. The tank capacity is sufficient for my household's needs, and I appreciate the safety features that prevent accidental dispensing of hot water. Overall, the InSinkErator H-HOT150SN-SS Instant Hot Water Dispenser is a high-quality and reliable product that adds convenience and efficiency to my kitchen. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to streamline their kitchen tasks with instant hot water access.

Having instant hot water is a good thing
Water heater works well after 2 hour installation on 3/12/26. One of the fittings on the copper water line was missing. My plumber luckily had the fittings needed with him. This one replaced the same size model we purchased in 2010. Our gets daily use. I would recommend this product.

Great product hindered by frustrating installation
This model replaced one we had that lasted 5 years. The older model had the push button tap, which finally would not turn off nor would the water tank heat the water over 170f. This model has an easy to use lever, and the heating chamber brings the water temperature up to proper temperature for hot tea. 185f easily. My only moan is that most home kitchen faucets have a 3/8” water supply line under the sink, so a trip to the hardware store necessary to buy a reduction T fitting down to 1/4” along with compression fitting. Inexpensive yet necessary installation parts that ought to have been included! I live 45 minutes from the nearest hardware store and upset that I had to fetch these. That’s my reasoning for not giving 5 stars.

Easy as putting a new faucet onto a sink - requires separate power from disposal.
If you are comfortable putting a new faucet onto a sink then this should be no trouble for you. A pro plumber should have no trouble at all. All you need is a spare hole in the counter where you want the hot tap to go, and a 115v socket under the sink where you want the main unit to go. Keep in mind that the socket will need to be hot at all times to keep the water in the tank hot. My socket was switched so that it controlls the garbage disposal. I was replacing my disposal at the same time, so I added an insinkerator countertop switch (requires another spare countertop hole). Now I just leave the wall switch on, which keeps the HOT150 powered, and use the counter switch to turn the disposal on & off. If i want the hot water off like if I'm off on vacation, I can just flip the wall switch. If you don't have a countertop hole for this, you might need to rewire your under-sink socket so it has a switched socket, and an always-hot socket. The water lines provided are somewhat short, so I got a 18in piece of braided stainless hose and adapted it to the lines from the unit. The unit uses a 1/4" copper tube as its main feed line, so you will need to purchase a T-fitting to add a new outlet on your sink's supply to feed the unit, and a compression fitting for the copper line, plus whatever other tubes and adapters. In my setup I have a standard sink tee->braided hose->stepdown adapter->compression fitting. you may wind up with something a little different depending on if you need the extra hose and what fittings your store carries. once you have all the connection bits its really plug and play: drop the faucet in from the top, screw the unit to the wall, plug in the lines from the faucet to the unit, connect the copper feed to the sink supply. Then you flush the unit for a couple of min and plug it in. Job done. In operation its pretty simple. I didn't flush as carefully as the instructions say and I did get some gurgling noise when its heating for the first day or two. I also found that when turned all the way up it actually boils the water inside. Possibly due to some air pockets, but I'd leave it set at 75% or lower to start, as it can definitely heat up above 212deg in some cases. safer to start on the cool side and bump it up till you get the temp you want. After I got the temp dialed in and the air flushed out its been quiet and excellent. I live a lone so I'm making single drinks at a time - I don't know if larger families might find the reservoir too small. Overall if basic plumbing (and possibly a little electric work) don't bother you this should be easy to install and seems to be a nice unit.

Works great.
Love this in my new kitchen. Works great. When installing, place as close to the edge of countertop as possible and not too close to the corner of the sink in order to allow room for diameter of larger mugs, bowls, etc.

Used to be real good, now junk
We originally purchased this model during our kitchen remodel in 2009. It was very good, never gave us any problems. Operated perfectly for 11 years, which was amazing. Then April of 2020, the heater tank began leaking. We did not hesitate to purchase a replacement InSinkErator heater. Thinking the first one lasted 11 years, it was well worth the investment. 7 months later, on November 25th 2020, the day before Thanksgiving, the dispenser faucet started dripping, then by the end of the day, it was leaking a full stream. We had to turn off the water heater, and turn off the water supply to the heater. That afternoon I called InSinkErator customer service. After a 25-minute conversation / troubleshooting episode, customer service told me yes your faucet needs to be replaced I, and will be under warranty. On December 22nd 2020, we received the replacement faucet from InSinkErator. Since they did not have a service warranty company in my area, I gave them the name of the plumber who initially installed the unit the previous April. Since I received it just before Christmas, and InSinkErator was very slow at setting up the warranty agreement with the plumber to do the work, we were without the water heater until today, January 20th 2021. The plumber came, installed the replacement faucet and turned on the water, turned on the heater, and before the water was hot the replacement valve began leaking just like the first one. At that point I called InSinkErator customer service once again, and informed them of the issue. They were going to go through the long troubleshooting process again, when I interrupted them and told him this was a warranty replacement faucet from two months earlier. He told me that they could send out another replacement faucet, which would be the same style of the first two leaky faucets. Which by the way we're sealed and unrepairable. I told him, the only thing I would except was an upgraded faucet, A more well-designed faucet. Otherwise we would find a different water heater from a different manufacturer, have it installed and take the InSinkErator heater out and throw it in the trash. I then asked to speak to his supervisor, he said someone would call me within 24 hours. As of this writing I have not heard back from InSinkErator customer service.

Great time saver!
I’m thrilled to finally receive my Hot Water Dispenser.. I drink hot tea every day and this thing is definitely a time saver, plus I don’t have to use a pot on the stove. So wonderful for tea and for having instant hot water when needed for other foods. Love it!

As advertised, very functional and easy to use.
Good quality and very functional...glad I purchased the lever action rather than the push button...like the way that the lever springs back (safety). My plumber installed it when he was doing something else for me, -so I don't know how it would gone for me...was easy for him. This item has turned out to be even more useful for our daily routine than I initially anticipated. Good purchase.

Every House Needs One!
This was to replace the one we had. Works fantastic. Once you have this you will wonder how you lived without it before! No kettle to wait for, instant coffee, hot chocolate, tea ready in seconds.

Only for counters less than 1 inch thick.
I have just recently install this under counter hot water tap. The tap and water container appear to be well made and, so far, have bee working perfectly. My only complaint was the difficulty in installation cause by the overly short threaded post which is provided for tightening the unit under the counter. I have a 1 1/2" thick butcher block counter. The unit could not be installed used the plastic shim, only the c-shaped metal washer and nut. I think I lost some of the tightening capability because of this. A significant design flaw I think for thicker counters.

Hot water tap
Works well. Easy exchange of old one and new. Only thing was only needed the tank not the tap. Cheaper too buy the kit than the tank only. 🤔
