Had heard about these from an American friend. Genuinely engages the core while standing at the desk (or kitchen counter!). Would definitely recommend it for anyone with a standing desk

PROS: This board is very sturdy and easy to use. I picked a flat topped board because I didn't like the thought of my feet/ankles at the slight curve of the curved boards. I stand 95% of my day at my stand up desk. This adds a bit of enjoyment as I can move while working:-) I have noticed a bit of discomfort compared to standing on the concrete floor in my office BUT this could just be the weight distribution. On the concrete I stand a lot in "tree pose" and can do so on this board with a little more balance involved. This board is not a hard board to balance on. It's main attraction to me is the ability to move front/back and side/side while working. If you really want a balance board to practice balance look elsewhere i.e. an INDO board. This board is, in my opinion, designed to keep the body in movement i.e. to music while working. If I could do an INDO board and work I would buy one...but that isn't happening;-) I hope to buy one in the near future for my gym. CONS---I think there are boards that are just as good for a lot less money. I would try the Gaiam board if I were going to buy another one. I might still try it as it is a bit higher so has a bit more challenge to it. As mentioned, this is not a hard board to balance on but is great for movement. The only drawback is the price and possibly the low height compared to a few others. I would recommend this board for the quality and movement ability...but I would suggest a few others with more height if one wants a bit more challenge.

This is a fantastic balance board! You might be tempted to try another brand or even that "as seen on tv" board. The fact this board has a flat surface, and that surface's large standing space make this board superb. I work 8-10 hours a day and bought a coverting standing desk last year. With that, I'd stand for 1-3 hours a day.... with the board I'm standing 2-5 hours. It's more comfortable throughout the day than the regular floor. The ability to shift weight, stretch calves, do toe raises etc make standing fun. The deck is super solid with a fantastic grip on the standing area. The underside of deck has soft rubber pieces in the upper most corners. This is helpful to keep the deck from sliding out from under you if you lose balance... when tilted to the extreme, the rubber makes contact with the floor. This also helps keep the deck in place if you are intentionally rocking it (toe raises for example). They have a 30 day money back guarantee... but you'll never have to use it.

I love this, it's totally helped increase my mobility, especially after running and hiking, so that I'm not sitting stagnant at my desk all day. I especially like how much more fun and engaging it makes standing at my desk (albeit, I probably look a little dorky using it, especially when I spin around on it)

I would rate this 5 stars if it weren't for the price of it being so high. ;) I do like it though. It isn't much of a core/leg workout if using on carpet. I saw the company sells a mat to go with it, which also seems overpriced. Instead of buying the mat, I bought a thick piece of plywood that's like 3 feet by 3 feet from the hardware store and use that and it works great. Now it is exactly what I was looking for. I hope I get a few years of use out of this. :)
