exactly what you need- obviously the smaller tape measure is flimsier so it will bend if you try to extend it really far, but its very handy to carry in your pocket to measure clearances through doors and that type of thing. I use it at work every day. Spring retraction is flawless.

This is the standard tape measure most of us grew up using. Not fancy and works fine. Bigger than the newer round plastic models it still does the job just as well for less money.

As always Stanley Powerlock tape measures are built to last. this one seems to have a lighter gauge tape because it wont stay rigid when 8 foot is pulled out like the ones from 20 years ago. Still a great tape

I have used Stanley Powerlock tape measures for a number of years. They have always functioned well. That's probably because they are made in American. That's another reason why I like them.
