I will offer this advice from personal experience...when traveling, always take it with you. During the 7 years prior to my retirement, I travelled all over the US and Asia and Europe, almost nonstop. On one trip I was in the airport at Shanghai returning home. I somehow managed to brush my hand against a sharp metal fence corner. As I was on blood thinners, blood went everywhere and wouldn’t stop. I was (and still is) on a blood thinner treatment for my high blood pressure (aspirin 81mg). No matter we did, the ear did not stop bleeding for two hours, threatening to become a major emergency.
