Raphael Le Voyageur SoftAqua 1795 Travel Brush, Mop, 3/0, Gold

The brush is very nice for watercolor. I use it mostly or exclusively for whole paintings. The first one I received was a nice brush, but the cap was loose and wouldn’t stay on either when closed for storage or when opened for painting. But I returned and received a replacement that works much better. So, it’s a good quality brush, and customer service was great.

I got this brush because it was described as a “mop” brush, and I wanted something in my kit that would hold a lot of water and paint. This brush not only does that, but also maintains an incredibly sharp tip at all times. All that in a brush that’s three times smaller than the brush I’m replacing. Pretty incredible. This is very versatile. Great for larger washes or razor thin detail. This is a desert island brush for me.

Le Voyaguer — the voyager? — take me away! A dream of a brush. There will definitely be a little place in your paint brush arsenal for this beautifully made brush. Soft enough. Very very nice. Perfect heft. Perfectly priced.

I tend to work in smaller books/journals. This fits my needs for swaths of sky or sand or whatever. Love it.

Ce pinceau serait parfait si ce n'était le manche qui une fois emboité, ne tient pas correctement. il n'est pas suffisamment ajusté et bouge quand on peint. Quelle déception.

I had a lot of high hopes for this item, but it arrived covered in disgusting white film of sticky goo. What exactly is this ?! Terrible quality control. It also seems to be taped together into this plastic covering. I will give it one more try via an exchange but very appréhensive about expectations.

Der Pinsel macht sich in der Tasche ganz klein und ist perfekt für Urban Sketcher, PleinAir Malerei oder das kleine Gepäck auf Reisen etc. Er hat eine flexible Pinselspitze, die auch immer schön spitz bleibt und viel Wasser oder Pigmente halten kann. Es macht Spaß mit ihm zu malen und in der Farbe Schwarz-Gold sieht er auch noch schick aus.

Dieser Pinsel ist einer meiner Lieblingspinsel für Aquarelle. Hohe Präzision.
