Vanity Fair Women's Anti-Static Nylon Full Slips for Under Dresses (S-5XL)

I am 5 ft 7" and weigh 160 lb. At first I ordered 3 slips- a size Large in white 24", beige and black both 26" lengths. Tried them on right away and they were pretty snug. When ordering you need to go by the waist and hip measurements in the size guide. I went by the bust measurement for a Large (38") however, their waist and hip numbers were smaller than my measurements. So I had to return them and I re-ordered two sizes up (XXL) according to my waist and hip meas. ordering only the beige and black in 26-in length and I was pleasantly pleased with how they looked and fit. I'm glad I took a chance on ordering two sizes up. (In clothes I wear a Large not XXL but they're sizing is different.) They did not fit snug but just loose enough to be comfortable. The length was good, it came to my knees. They are good quality, soft and silky and the lace isn't scratchy. Some people complained of the darts in the bust but I don't find it an issue. The straps are adjustable. I would recommend these slips to anyone looking for a good quality slip. Good, normal slips are hard to find at a decent price. They were on sale for $17 when I bought them.

This Black Spinslip was exactly what I had been searching for and I found it here on Amazon ! I had seen similar in my Style magazine and I wanted one - I usually find what I want. This slip fits great and can also be worn believe it or not as a dress ! YEP ! I said a dress , I read about the newest trend and they wear long slips as dresses (usually maxi's) but I'm only 5' 2" so I thought I would try this length and see how it worked out and it looks great. Now you must wear the right accessories or you will look like you are wearing a "slip" , I added a cute scarf , dangling earrings with matching necklace, bracelet and some really cute high gladiator style sandal's for an awesome look. If you wanted you can add a colorful belt or sash. The material is super soft , comfortable and easy to wash, no wrinkles. I love that I can turn it around & have a different neckline if I want a new look. The length is perfect for me , I did not want it too long nor too short. I could not have asked for any better and it looks just like the one in Style mag except the one there was around $1,000. I copy the style for pennies on the dollar and you would never tell the difference. If you're not afraid to try new things and like the trends this is the slip to get. If you end up NOT wearing for a dress it will make a great slip or night gown as made to be. I can't write enough good things about this slip , its super great at a fair price. Its made very well too, good quality material.

I ordered 2XL 26" in the lace style---one in white and one in black. Amazon recommended 2XL, which is the size I expected I would wear, but with the inconsistency in sizes in the last 40 years, I never know what to expect. I am 5'7 and 180 lbs and normally wear size 8.5 B shoes and size 2XL in inexpensive dresses. In higher end dresses, I wear 14-16. In the "old days," i.e. the 1980s and earlier, if you knew your size, you could find it in shoes, clothing, etc. all across the board no matter where you shopped. However in the last 35-40 years, depending on maker and where you shop, you may wear a size L in one garment from one maker, but the same garment from another maker or at another store might be size XL or 2XL. There is no consistency in clothing sizes anymore. I thought the body on this slip was a bit too snug. Then, I sat down in the slip, and the back rode up so high that I was only barely sitting on the very, very bottom edge of the slip. This was not only very uncomfortable, but it left nothing between myself and my dress to protect my dress. The slip's cups on the other hand, seemed to be just a tad too large for me. Based on this, I suspect I need a 4XL, but they are out of stock in the larger sizes in every colour they offer in every style. I have noticed this stock problem with Amazon before. On items that sell a lot of stock, especially where the sizes do not match up with buyers's normal, expected size, e.g. foundation garments like slips or camisoles or panties, if certain sizes are the ones sold most often, then almost every time I go to buy something, they are out of that size. It has happened to me with slips, panties, bras, tank tops, and even outer garments like slacks, sweaters, shoes, etc. It is really frustrating. As for quality, these slips are nice enough if you catch them on sale for maybe $15 or less, but I would recommend sizing up at least one size from your expected size unless you do not mind your slip riding up more than halfway up your bottom. I am very disappointed. I was torn as to whether to award 2 or 3 stars. I decided to err on the side of generosity and awarded 3 stars. Your mileage may vary.
