The outside diameter is 9.5". The inside diameter is 8.75".

Can these be used in a pressure cooker?

No. There is no way to keep steam from coming out. Not to mention you must use food warnings for pressure cooking of you might end up very ill.

Can you use steamer in microwave?

I don’t know, but can’t imagine why you’d want to. I use it instead of a microwave, boiling about a cup of water in a pot under the steamer to heat things. There may be some metal in the construction, but I haven’t checked.
