Long term review. Good, Simple, Worth it
Purchased in July 2020. It finally died in January 2024. So about 3.5 years of life at $15. Decided to write a long term review first when I stopped back here to reorder a second replacement. Carried debit, credit, and 2 IDs daily. Can fit about 2 cards each pocket, for 6, but that kinda defeats the purpose of having only minimal and essential cards. I rely heavily on my digital wallet last few years but still need to carry cards for registers that aren’t up-to-date and my license. Outside edge frays, but doesn’t get any worse or deeper than that (see photos). Card slots might loosen up a bit but absolutely no danger of cards falling out. Never had it happen. Even with my top layer peeled back halfway (happened this week, reason for replacement) card stayed put. I wouldn’t trust it like that, but regardless, it stayed put. If I really wanted to be cheap, I could just peel that layer off and go super minimal and it wouldn’t look damaged. But this held up in my pocket without issue for 3.5 almost 4 years heavy daily use. I would say good construction and material. Not sure if it damages cards or not, because current bank cards have normal wear and tear and are about to expire themselves and still work, the chips are just trash, but that’s normal. Never loaded up the wallet in a bulky way. Kept to the minimum. In a pinch you can slip a business card, key, or whatever in it so it doesn’t get damaged or lost in your pocket or damage your phone screen. Keeps your pockets flat and your cards together and forces you to carry only what’s necessary for daily use. Never really carried cash, so can’t comment, but I imagine you’d get 2 bills max in there after folding them and sacrificing a card. Just use it the right way and it will hold up. I got $0.01/day of use for a quality item I use heavily everyday.

Good front pocket wallet.
Great front pocket wallet. Got it a few months ago and its holding up well except for some very slight fraying around the edge. A lighter will fix that. Would be perfect if it were RFID blocking, but I generally keep it in a small Alpaka case that is, so...I knew it wasn't RFID blocking when I ordered it, so I can't hold that against it. Good value for the money, stays tight, doesn't stretch out. I may buy more for gifts for my nephews.

Finally, a truly low profile minimalist wallet
I couldn't possibly count how many minimalist wallets I have tried. I probably have at least ten of them, including the Ridge Wallet, the Buffway Slim wallet, Nomatic wallet, Slimfold paper and fabric wallets, and just a few days ago the Threads wallet. I carry minimal cash (a couple of bills for cash tips) and use my phone for most payments, so I only need space for a couple of credit cards, a debit card, my insurance card, a driver's license and a couple of bills. The Threads wallet almost nailed it, but there's relatively thick leather at the top on both leather pockets that, once filled, makes the wallet a bit of a triangle in terms of thickness so it didn't quite disappear into my pocket as well as I'd hoped. Also, other than the stretch pocket, the other two pockets would only hold one card each and it was very difficult to get the single card in and out (was actually afraid to break them). This Magpul Essentials wallet held everything I needed, was much thinner than the Threads wallet, and it was slightly easier to get cards in and out. The Magpul wallet doesn't look high end, but the material seems very durable and the wallet disappears in my pocket, so that one is the winner and the Threads wallet will remain a backup.

Great minimal wallet for the money. Holds a good amount of stuff.
I got the black version and it is great. It came quick enough, is very slim, and holds a good amount of stuff. I'm pleased with the price considering it cost me about $14. It's by no means some luxurious material but I think the vinyl and plasticy feel is fine. I'm writing this after a couple months of somewhat light use and it's held up well with no signs of being worn. The side with one slot comfortably fits 7 bills folded in thirds. It starts to bulge more noticeably with more bills, but it can hold a lot. I don't have enough stuff to truly fit the wallet's other side, but you can fit several cards within the two slots on the other side. Overall, it's a great for the money, minimal, fine looking, and useful wallet.

OK but
nice and slim however the cards get sticky. So I have to insert my finger to "pull" out card and the pull is NOT SMOOTH. The action is more a jolt when a card is released. I've had an Apache Pine card holder which I love = holds more than 6-7 cards. this item I can stuff only 4 (3 plastic and 1 metal CCard) along with a picture of my family. so I'm now contemplating if I should just stick to 3 essential cards = ID, 2 CCs? it holds your cards - got that but it holds them a little too well. good luck.

Perfect Minimal Wallet
This is a perfect minimal wallet. slim, sleek, bombproof and from Magpul! I got so tired of a big fat heavy wallet in my pocket. Having the Magpul DAKA made me trim what I carried. What do you really need in your wallet anyway? A credit card or two, ID, some cash, thats really it. I was a little worried about my cards falling out of this wallet but after inserting them and seeing how it hugs them securely i have no worry of loosing them. Throw out your old fat heavy wallet and carry the DAKA! It will make your life so much better, Ok well it will not save the world by itself but it is nice to have a trim, durable wallet that fits in your pocket without reminding you its there every time you move.

Very durable, slim and well made. 1st one lasted over 7 years with EDC. Could have probably gotten at least another year out of it, but grabbed a fresh one. Holds all you need and disappears in the pocket.
