Extra scent gold. Use a carolina rig and a tiny (size 12) offset hook with a 1-2ft flouro leader (if you are using braid as mainline)

Usually they smell kinda fishy to me. It's something fish seem to like at any rate.

Will this be considered bait or lure? Where I fish you can only use lures.

I would defiantly check your local regs. The state I live in would consider them as a bait rather than a lure since they are flavored

Yes they are but after time they lose the scent so a lot of people will dip it in other things like Trout Dip
