Proaim Overhead Camera Boom Pole is compatible with most tripods on the market with a load capacity of up to 5kg/11lb (the payload also depends on tripod ball head / fluid head). The overhead boom pole attaches to tripod via 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threaded mounts, and it enables your camera to be suspended over the subject whether you're shooting tabletop or macro photography or a video. The adjustable length of the pole is between 23” to 40”, and counterweights can be added to stabilize the pole. The Tripod adapter and camera ball head are included for your convenience. Very tricky ball head! Beware! You will not be able to put any other heads

This is one solid piece of equipment. Before selecting I looked over the features of at least five similar items, and I’m so glad I picked this. Please pardon the mess in my attached photo, though you can see I have the boom significantly extended with a Teleprompter attached. I added extra stabilizing weight with a sandbag on the bottom, and also an additional hanging bag at the back of the pole. On top the Teleprompter, I both said a Nikon D90 with a fixed, focus lens, then also shot some video with a light weight handy cam. It held through all without a budge. Once I had the ball head secure, everything was excellent. 100% worth its price tag. I would absolutely purchase this again.
