Awesome!
Very cool! This is my absolute favorite alternate version of Batman. I was kind of hoping the wings would be more adjustable. But it’s still a beautiful figure

Great comic counterpart
A great Azrael Batman figure from McFarlane! Love the colors and articulation on this one. There is also a blue platinum chase version you may get lucky and find. If you are a fan of this Batman storyline you need this figure.

One of the best Azbats you can buy!
So it's been a few years since we got a figure of this particular armor of the Azrael Batman we had seen in Knightfall. One of the previous of which was the one Mattel put out. This figure is quite remarkable in the engineering and materials. Not to say it's flawless but let's start with the... PROS: This figure is a representation of the armor Azrael wore towards the end of the comics, and as such featured a wing configuration that's hard to capture in plastic. This figure has six wings that can peg into the shoulder armor which is SO nice. It means they can't just break off or get bent out of shape in storage. You can just pop them back off and put the figure away like usual. They're also a harder plastic so they are quite light and don't make the figure very back heavy but also won't warp like the softer wings of say the Mattel figure. Additionally, the plastic used in the base figure is a slightly more solid plastic, meaning the joints are more stiff for the extra weight that there is, it also means the bladed barbs on his legs don't feel rubbery and easy to warp either. Give him a more forward hunch on his abdominal joint and he just looks menacing. The sculpted texture and sculpted details are held over from the Knightquest armor from a year or so ago and are a welcome sight on this. I got the red armor version which is the one he wore in the comics during the final confrontation with Bruce Wayne for the Batman title and it really looks great. It includes the belted feed for each arms batarang launchers and they can be lined up beautifully for dynamic shooty poses. Now, let's talk about the ... CONS: Because there ARE a few. One con is that while I got the red armor, there is a chase variant that I know a lot of collectors would love to get, which is the blue armor, but it's random if you even get it. This business model is just a lame hold over from the 90's with variant comic covers and is a model I loathe. Make the alternate color available or don't. Don't make people get one at random, they aren't Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts. Expect that if you do get one, you're lucky, otherwise the after market prices will be way too high. Right now on Ebay, the blue version is anywhere between $75 to $90...owch. Thanks Todd! Then there are the wings. I love what they did but I almost feel they missed the opportunity to make the wings pivot on the peg to flare them out a little. As it is, they are static. They are fine, but I feel it's a missed opportunity. Also as mush as I also love the articulation elsewhere, I really think the forearm armor should have been able to rotate so the launchers could be re-positioned out of the way a bit. Last, the sculpt is a bit flawed and not very crisp on places like his chest where it looks very warped due to the softer plastic. I also feel like the shoulder sections of the armor are just a tad too wide, but that was also a problem with other versions of figures with this armor too. Additionally you ONLY get closed hands, so no open clawed hands which would have been welcome if they were painted silver like the fists. In the end it's still an excellent figure and one I'm glad to have in my collection. I'm giving it a 4 out of five because I can't give a half star rating. That would have put it at 4.5, not a 3.5 because I feel the figure is still quite good.

Another Amazing Figure!
McFarlane Toys made another amazing DC Multiverse figure. This time it's the Dark Knight Returns Joker that comes with a switch out left had, a knife, card and figure stand. It also comes with the BAF parts which are the horse's head and saddle. This figure looks great and has decent articulation as well as the sculpt and paint apps being well done. I definitely recommend this Dark Knight Returns Joker figure for any fan of collector. Thank you.

Es muy bueno

This is basically a throwback to the Ultra Armor Azrael Kennel toy, and it's very nice. If you're a fan of this stuff, you'll like it. McFarlane made a few repaints of it too including the Knightquest.

Just got this to complete the horse. I think this is one of the ugliest series of figures mcfarlane did :D but you already see it on the photos or box.. no surprise. Horse cannot stand just on its hind legs like the artwork at the back of the box. but it stands on its 4 legs no problem. Superman is the ugliest of this series :D

El envío estuvo perfecto, a tiempo y bien protegido. La figura es la mejor que tengo de McFarlane y funciona mejor en mano que en fotografía. En las fotos se puede ver la comparativa con la de Mafex, figura que cuesta 4 veces más.

I love this figure so much! I haven’t taken it out of the packaging but that’s only because I collect everything “Dark Knight Returns”. But I have been considering buying a second to display!

A great looking dark knight returns figure with an ok articulation. Had to boil it in water to loosen the joints.
