Polti Cimex Eradicator - Professional Bed Bug Steamer

This steamer arrived immediately to help us with our problem! This was the reason why I chose an Amazon product so that we can treat our situation immediately!! I did track these bedbugs in from the wild by the way I had no idea that you could get them from the outside, as I fell into very tall grasses in bulrushes near the Mississippi River!! We’ve had them ever since!!! I thought they were mosquitoes at first. It does provide high pressure and non-wet steam! One has to hold it very close to items to not scatter the bugs. I am treating things heavily so I do have to wait for it to build up pressure at times but considering this product arrived immediately to start treatment before they become a gigantic problem! I did have questions at first, and I talk to a nice Italian lady located in Los Angeles. She was very helpful and referred me to a product specialist but I did not need to use that service. I think I could also treat wrinkles in clothes. I want to mention that it does take about 25 minutes to build up pressure but you could get other items ready to be steamed as you’re waiting. I put it in about 4 cups of distilled water and that did last me a few hours. You do have to wait for the thing to cool off to add more water which was not really a problem. It had some work arounds - but I don’t care. I’m killing the bugs!! Well worth the $1400 cost which you would pay an exterminator more and I can do this over and over again now. It also can clean floors, etc! There was a couple things that bothered me that everywhere on the box mentions that it is for bedbugs and that was very embarrassing as we have a UPS mailbox. Also, you cannot order attachments sets at this time on Amazon. You would have to go to the company website. Oh well, I guess I will steam clean my carpets in the future and will order that attachment set by the way I am steam cleaning the carpets now but maybe using a brush attachment,, would make it treat the carpet deeper I think. One other thing this is just one way of many that I am deep treating our place. I am also using a propane heater and a remote laxer temperature, diatomaceous earth, bedbug spray, foggers at hot water washing, and of course the dryer! You Must treat these bugs in a comprehensive manner. I am already seeing results.

We use this steamer as part of our bed bug remediation treatments in a commercial setting. We have at least 20 of them in service, each used multiple times per week for over a year or more that we have had them. These steamers have held up exceptionally well, and out of all those units, the only repairs needed has been two hose replacements—both due to improper storage, which we resolved by purchasing the optional storage bag. They perform exactly as needed, delivering consistent, high-temperature steam, and are tough enough to handle the heavy use we put them through. If you're looking for a durable, professional-grade steamer, this one is a great investment!

This steamer is very powerful and effective at eliminating tiny, elusive critters from bedbugs to mites. Francesca from customer service is a delight and extremely helpful with troubleshooting when issues arise.
