Excellent ramen broth concentrate โ rich flavor without being overly salty
The Kitchen Kurume ramen broth concentrate is fantastic. Itโs very easy to use and creates a rich, flavorful ramen broth without being overly salty like many packaged soup bases. What I liked: Simple to prepare Great, authentic ramen flavor Not overly salty Because itโs a concentrate, you can control how strong you want the broth A little goes a long way I really appreciate being able to adjust the strength of the broth depending on how rich I want the soup. I used it to make a quick ramen bowl with noodles, vegetables, and a soft-boiled egg, and the flavor was excellent. Itโs also versatile enough to use as a base for other soups or noodle dishes. Overall, this is a high-quality, convenient ramen broth that I will definitely be buying again.

Delicious
Best ramen broth I have found, BY FAR! Yes, a little pricey, but very good and no MSG listed in ingredients. This broth concentrate can be diluted with water to your preference of saltiness. I usually use this to add to noodles and some leftovers for a very quick and easy, but delicious dinner after work.

So tasty youโll enjoy the broth by itself but itโs a great base for other dishes!
I love tonkotsu broth and often enjoy this without anything added (except unflavored collagen peptides) but I have also used it for a base for ramen and even a braised pork I made in the crockpot and it is incredible. My only word of caution is that itโs very concentrated, one pouch is more like 3-4 servings of just brothโa little goes a long way and itโs definitely salty if not diluted sufficiently. That says, the flavor has ruined me for all other broth, 10/10 Highly Recommend!!

Authentic
I bought this about a month ago and just had a chance to try it this evening. All I can say that it tastes so close to the Tonkutso Ramen in the restaurant. Very flavorful and the texture is exactly that of the restaurant. I am not being paid to do this review. Now, I can save about $22 per bowl. I buy the noodles in the Asian store, add hardboiled eggs, dried seaweeds, fried garlic and bean sprouts - an authentic ramen bowl.

Really good.
This has an amazing flavor. As I was adding the packet to a cup and I tried a small part. I knew immediately that it was going to be good. And sure enough after adding the water to it. It was an amazing broth. If you like tonkotsu ramen then this is a good broth and is easy for making tonkotsu ramen at home.

Delicious broth for ramen
Very tasty, a little salty, but not objectionably so. Rich and savory, very convenient for ramen. I enjoy frying up some pork chops and slicing them thin to go with this broth. Also pairs well with onion or scallions and baby bok choi. Everyone likes it, even people who arenโt familiar with Japanese cuisine.

Strong, Bitter Ginger Flavor
I'm so sorry, I wanted to love this! It was really savory but the broth is quite bitter with the amount of water they recommend. The ginger flavor is really strong. At the ramen restaurants I ask for them to take the ginger off because the strong taste overpowers the delicate, savory smoothness of the pork broth. I do love ginger in other contexts, in stir fries, curries, on sushi. I've had a really delicious ginger and scallion umami oil for soup dumplings (Mila brand) Usually the ramen broth at restaurants isn't infused with the ginger. The ingredients say they used powdered ginger, and dried herbs and spices tend to have a much more powerful flavor. I tried it first with a little under 2 cups of water and it was too salty, which would've been fine if it didn't have such a strong bitterness. I gradually added a little more water until the salty taste balanced out, but the bitterness persisted, so I added more hot water. I probably used a total of around 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 cups of hot water. The bitter flavor was a lot more mellow, but then it wasn't as salty or rich and the delicious pork flavor was pretty watered down. I think what needs to happen is a better balance of the salt and bitterness. Maybe omit the ginger all together and let people add their own if they like ginger in their ramen.
