Would these be any good for polishing a brass kick plate

yes - but depending on how dirty the plate is, you may need to use one pad to remove initial dirt, and one pad to bring the brass plate to its final shine

Can you wash these pads if you use them to polish after using beeswax on furniture.

I haven't washed them. They are all quite small items .surprisingly so. I would imagine as they are fixed to their drill attachments that those metal bits would rust
